I remember hating fighting games in the early '90s because button-mashing would always win against combos. So anytime me and my brothers played they would do the combos and I'd just hit random buttons and annihilate them, then they did it to me and I've hated those games since.

that's exactly the reason why i started playing virtua fighter and DOA.

although soul calibur 2 is still helllllla fun.
