yeah, im not gonna lie to ya. that looks pretty lame. i think this game is single handedly going to make actual guitars and drums obsolete.... no ones gonna want real $500+ guitars/drums when they can just express your creativity thru a pre made music loop. awesome! (extreme sarcasm)

I'll probably end up getting a real guitar. They don't get old, and they look nice on your wall or corner of said wall. Trying to play it without people covering their ears in agony is a completely different chapter.
About the game: I would prefer the frequency of DLC (at least a song pack every two weeks) as opposed to the whole "create-a-song" menu. I see this as a relatively easy way to recreate songs other artists/bands have made.

A lot of dance music is done pretty much like how Guitar Hero is done (ie with loops). I've used a load of musical sequencing programs from Cakewalk to Fruityloops to Rebirth 2. Some of them can sound crappy but Fruityloops is still one of my favourite dance music creation packages. Download the Fruityloops demo some time and be amazed at what you can do... http://www.fruityloops.com/ FL makes GH look like a TOY!

I've done this a long time ago. Although I almost never use it anymore, I'll admit it was a blast making my own music out of this sequencing program. I think my aunt introduced it to me like, four months ago. Guitar Hero IS a toy.
Breaks like one too. Smash the GH controller over someone's head and it practically splinters.

we write stuff on there and then send it over to thie program called guitar pro and it prints us out the music notes or tabs.
it's really cool.

I disagree with that so much I want to punch you in the face. I enjoy Guitar Hero as much as the next guy and I can play more instruments than you have fingers. Christ, I was a music education major at one point. Anyway. Wanna know who actually got me into GH? My brother - a guy that has been playing guitar well over 10 years.

Well, aren't you an exercise in irrelevance. GH is not an acceptable stepping stone into real music. That's pretty obvious. That's not the point though. People who want to step into that rockstar fantasy can do so with GH. It's that idea of instant gratification that we all know and love. To generalize people who enjoy GH as "dweebs that can't pick up an instrument" is pretty absurd. Btw, fast fingers are essential in a lot of musical applications.

You cant even compare those 2? Why do people keep comparing a real guitar to guitar hero? One is a game, one is an instrument, thats like comparing soccer with football, its a battle that can't be won.
