[Sniped Sniper…]

So let's talk a little about Counter Strike. How do you usually play it? Are you a Stealthy Sniper or do you rush in spraying 7.62mm rounds at everyone?
Whatever you want to talk about, as long as it involves CS.

I've never owned, played, or seen either played before (minus online videos of them). I wanted to get them both when I started following Pure Pwnage but...I guess I got pretty lazy. I have a friend who absolutely swears by CSS but he also hacks in just about every single online game he's played, too.

Hmm well you should try it out one day. And you should try to convince him not to hack/cheat... Even if you suck, this game is MUCH, MUCH more fun without hacks.

I used to play alot of CSS (25 hours a week) about a year ago and actually got pretty good at it. I stopped playing because everytime I dominated a player I'd have to take all kinds of abuse. CS(S) players take themselves too seriously. I can destroy someone (which rarely happens) in a game of Day Of Defeat: Source and we'll laugh about it at the end of the match. Not CSS.

When I played alot of Source my main loadout was usually an P228 and MP5/M1 Shotgun, can't hit anything with a sniper. My tactic was to flash and then rush in. Most good players usually hang back and pick targets off as their team moves forward, IMO the speed and aggression in a proper flash rush was more fun.

I remember joining the Deagle gang... That and the Colt (M4 I think it was).

Funny thing was that when I played the most reviled players were the AWP-Whores... god that used to drive me mad lol.

I've gotta get my gaming PC into the bedroom and huck up my kit and go have a go at CSS again. BTW I remembered one reason why I gave up with CSS. All the models I made for 1.6 wouldn't work. As I'd made real faces of my clan (made the models in Milkshape3D) it peed off the other players in my group too. The good thing of it was that you could tell who was the team leader and team second because they had Sgt and Corp stripes on their models.

I actually used that hack method in Eve Online too and made a tiny litte shuttle appear as an Amarr Titan... heh. Replacing weapon player models made the game loads of fun. I bet that they can make their own source models by now..

And Copper I'm pretty bad at the game, but I use Deagle/M4/AK47/AWP 95% of the time and stay back a little.

CS was what got me into FPS games in a big way... I don't think I would have ever joined the net meet scene if it hadn't been for that game.
