Nope, I got my CoD4 around christmas, for my Birthday which is less then a week after christmas. All I remember is that I was only able to play CoD4 between the hours of 8 am to 6pm because at 6 everyone from the states got online and the servers would not work properly for xboxlive.

The only thing that caught my eye was Armored Core: For Answer and Rock Band 2. I might get one or the other somewhere around late October/early November or sooner, depending on the whole money thing.

Note: I thought that Armored Core: For Answer was a Japan-only release?

Oh come on... nobody wants Lego Batman (which is coming out this Thursday 10th Oct).

I love the Lego series (but still haven't got Indianna Jones). I got the original Lego Star Wars disks on original Xbox (and they are actually loaded onto the hard drive of the Xbox too... yay for XBMC).

I've got mine on pre-order and will get the Joker Van Code too... *OMG... NEO FAINTED*...

There is going to be a HUGE drought. Money is going to drop off big time once Obama gets put into office, and then once those taxes start to hit people, the video game industry is gonna get his pretty hard.

The video game industry is not recession-proof but probably will do better percentage-wise than Hollywood.

Looks like this is the petering-out of the new release season.

Dec. 7 - Dec. 13
Today
C.O.R.E. (DS)

Monday (Dec. Cool
The Tale of Despereaux (PC)
Hidden Expedition: Amazon (PC)

Tuesday (Dec. 9)
Sonic Unleashed (PS3)
Prince of Persia (2008) (PC)
Imagine Fashion Party (Wii)
Neopets Puzzle Adventure (Wii)
Slingo Quest (DS)
Left Brain Right Brain 2 (DS)
Drivers Ed Portable (DS)
Build a Lot (DS)
Ski & Shoot (Wii)
Dungeon Maker II: The Hidden War (PSP)
Cate West: The Vanishing Files (DS)
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 (PS2)

I hope everyone gets the game(s) they wanted or get them for Xmas. Overall it was a decent year but there were only a few huge triple-A titles and a few innovative games that didn't quite land with the masses.

It'll be hit hard, but there's still gonna be demand for video games. Just like there will always be a demand for drugs. People get addicted to both and neither will disappear. Prices for game may drop though.

I highly doubt that. Video games for consoles have been $50 for years and with MS and Sony able to get $60 for a new title (Sony's extra charge makes sense), the prices will not be going anywhere. I think the resell market (GameStop) will get even bigger and leave the devs and publishers out in the dark of all that extra money.

Ah that's a good point. But to be honest, the prices of everything is tanking. Gas & food for sure. Well maybe not food in the grocery store, but my school's lunches dropped in price.

I remember games being about $40 and $50 in the mid 90s, especially when the N64 launched. With increased development time, hardware, and disc capabilities, the price of individual games should actually be higher than they are but they need to move copies to make up for the loss they take on each console sold. The price of games will not drop, even if every publisher resorts to digital copies only because there's an accepted price range for video games that consumers are willing to pay.

EDIT: Wow, so there's a few more titles releasing this week. Looks like the two best titles are Rock Band 2 for PS2/Wii and Rise of the Argonauts.

Dec. 14 - Dec. 20
Monday (Dec. 15)
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Episode 5: 8-Bit Is Enough (Wii)
Mystery P.I. - Portrait of a Thief (DS)

Tuesday (Dec. 16)
The Tale of Despereaux (PC)
Rise of the Argonauts (PC, 360, PS3)
Neopets Puzzle Adventure (Wii)
Australia Zoo Quest (DS)
Dreamer: Horse Trainer (DS)
Dreamer: Puppy Trainer (DS)
C.O.R.E. (DS)
Drivers Ed Portable (DS)

Thursday (Dec. 18)
Rock Band 2 (PS2, Wii)
Word Jong Party (Wii)
Summer Sports 2: Island Sports Party (Wii)

Friday (Dec. 19)
Azada 2 (PC)
Candace Kane's Candy Factory (DS)
The Tale of Despereaux (PS3)
Calvin Tucker's Redneck Jamboree (Wii)
