[EG Haggard Spartan]

So I have been a little "bored" lately. And I wanted to start thinking of some ideas for awards for now and when the new site is up and running.

This is where you guys come in; I need help thinking of some good ideas. They can be game related or forum related. To go along with the idea your thinking of for an award, come up with a name.

Here are my ideas so far:
Forum Related
1 Year Member - *Surprise Picture* - "A God Amongst Men"
Post Videos advertising EG on Youtube, etc. - *Surprise Picture* - "Broadcast EG"
The Town Drunk - *Surprise Pic* - "You're not drunk if you can lie down while holding on" (Awarded to the person who posts while intoxicated, we are not promoting that you drink and come post though, and only one person can hold this title)

Game Related
Beat The Staff in a Game of Choice - *Surprise Picture* - "All part of the job..."

As you can see, they are really basic and "boring" persay. But as we get better and more it will be fun to see what we can do. I can design awards and what not so just lemme know. I will deem them worthy or not of course. As we get bigger, we will start developing awards depending on the game itself. This is about you guys, and if you don't really care about awards please say so. If you wanna see this, get to thinking of some ideas!

I got a 1GB Call of Duty: World at War Flash drive that I want to give away as some kind of prize for something, maybe like the most creative advertising or something.

And the Town Drunkard has already been done by me on New Years.

Mister Congeniality, Best Teammate (in game), Most Helpful (on forum), Funniest Bastard, Biggest Screwball, "Achievement" type awards like "I Survived Halo on Legendary" or something similar.

OK Heres the deal. I want a total of 30 awards.
10 of them anyone can have - These awards will also be gold, silver, bronze
20 of them only one person can have

Of those 20:
10 of them forum related
10 of them game related

Of the 10 forum related:
4 funny

Of the 10 game related:
6 funny

That is what I want to stick by for now. As we grow and get bigger I will add more as we go. On the FIRST post I will keep a list of what awards we have. Remember I am the final decider of which awards we use and dont use. Please post as many award possibilites as you can. I dont care how dumb they sound, they might spark an idea for someone else.

I'm in the Katana club... but I've got a real one... It sits underneath my TV..

One award we need is "Best Online Game Host of the past 6 months" for the member who organises the best online games here at EG. At the end of the 6 months we nominate the best hosts then vote on them. I was going to say winner gets a 12 month Live card code but what if they are a PC user or a PS3 user... or even worse a Wii user heh... Perhaps we should do it yearly and have one for each section and have our awards going on at the same time as the Oscars lol.

I just remembed that The Escapist and xbox360achievment.org have a awards system on the forums, for like reaching 10,000 posts, winning game tourneys, making topics with 1,000 replys, and random ones for reading a certain amount of messages from people.

Oh and what about Gamerscore awards for completing all the Achievements in certain games?

Hell yeah... we need ones that encourage participation in the community more than just silly ones, hence why I mentioned the best online gamesmaster...

Once I've got the basics running I'm going to be looking at ways to run these things easier. One of the ways is that I have a quiz package that is part of the new site... I've got to work it all out and it's low on the to-do list atm but say once a month we have games related quizes maybe. Like I said... once everything is up and running It will be the next thing to do.

But don't give up Haggard... after all you gave up looking for those...

Ninja defusing is awesome!!! lol Funniest thing to do. It worked on a team of 5 against the last guy, like way back when. He was hiding near the bomb, and then saw 2 guys near him so i guess he got scared? or idk lol maybe he has been wanting to ninja defuse the whole time.
The other guys were looking around and when the guy planted he started defusing.
The funniest part was that one of the guys passed by and quickly looked at him lol.
Supposebly he thought it was his teammate planting/doing whatever next to it.

You guys need to understand that all of these suggestions for games and what not are SUPER hard to prove. I need to be there or one of the mods need to be there ie, me, neo, guyyug, or kronic. (not specialist staff, sorry) A picture will also do.

Some awards that I am thinking of is:
Go 30-0 without dying in TDM. (CoD4)
Go 15-0 without dying in S&D. (CoD4)

I have a weird feeling that people (new or old) may cheat to get this potential award, by never logging out, thus, accumulating days without much activity.

I propose an idea to counter this, if it's doable: Make a timer that logs out people that are inactive for more than 4 hours.

It already stops timing after 15 minutes, so unless they sit here going to a diffrent place once every 15mins, you don't ahve to worry.

I think you should make an award for the first person to max gamer points with proof on (insert game title) for 360, although I do not play, it'd make things interesting.  Like say with the new Fallout, whoever gets the 1000 gamer points first gets an actual like ribbon or medal next to or beneath their name when they post
