Once I've finished the major bugs off I'll be adding them... but I'm working down a list of glitches that are still causing problems on the site. Now the performance work is done I have a good foundation to work with.

this may not be able to work at all...

but i'm a member of the circa survive message board, and when you post there, you gain a certain amount of points. you also get points for doing something productive or creative in the board community.

you can cash in these points for various things like CD's, etc.. and you can also purchase a signature member title that you create, and it is displayed above your avatar.

don't know about the CD's part since this isn't a music message board.. but maybe we could do something like that for member titles?

some of the custom member titles are based on inside jokes in the forum.

i don't know if you have to be a member to view it, but you can find many custom member titles throughout the board if you want to look.

Arrggh...

I was going to do the member titles yesterday... so what happens... frickin home server going kaboom.

After several (and I really mean EIGHT) tries to backup the boot drive I finally manage to do it after several hours repairing duff sectors. I finally get a viable backup sorted.

So now I have a boot disk backup I am trying to move my main archive of programs from the dying hard drive to my 1tb backup drive... It says it's gonna take 2 hours to complete. Ohhhhhhhkay. I set it in motion and turn off monitor and do some reading.

Turn monitor on after 2 hours... it had done about 1/8th of the files and then found a trojan in an old archive file... ARRRGHHHH. Fix the problem and set Avast to handle stuff automatically.

Turn on again after 2 hours. Only a few files transferred and a message "Are you sure you want to move system file xyz". Grrrrrrr.... YES TO ALL. Turn off monitor again and wait.

Turn on again after 2 hours... "Your system has recovered from a serious error". ARRRRGH. Decide to pack in for the night.

Turn monitor on again at 4:30am. Notice the automation driver system is missing. CRAP... fix that and decide to start moving stuff MANUALLY to the hard drive to see what is happening. This means that it's gonna take HOURS to move stuff.

NEVER BUYING ANOTHER SAMSUNG DRIVE... EVER!

Unless I can do the transfer quickly it looks like another day not working on the site, damnit. I HATE MY NEOJINX!
