Battlefield 1943 is releasing this summer (PC, PSN, XBL), Bad Company 2 this winter (PC, PS3, 360), and some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (a.k.a. CoD 6) details were given by Robert Bowling on his Twitter page, which the game will probably launch early November as the previous two have.

EDIT: Battlefield 1943 trailer thanks to Kotaku. It makes the game look pretty good, but if it's like the BF 1942 gameplay, I'll opt for CoD6 instead.

I think BF1943 is a downloadable remake of BF1942 - the Wake Island looks to be a Frostbite remake of the old PC version at the very least. But only 24 players is a big drop... I used to LOVE that game (and still have it somewhere). Where else can you have every type of vehicle from planes to jeeps to ships to subs.

Anyone remember the old trick of jumping onto the wings of planes and then jumping off as you get over land... used to pwn... and the parachuting was excelent. Mind you I also remember the friendly fire off tricks like laying a load of explosives, standing on them and firing them off so you could get to the higher positions like the Russian buildings one. Loads of snipers used that trick.

Mind you I used to be ebil with the old grenades... I could really protect this one flag well....

i freaking love BF 1942.

still get on it sometimes, and there's quite a few people that still play.

bad company 2 will be rad, and hopefully COD 6 will too..

Yeah... BC2 will be pre-ordered as soon as it becomes available. The storyline is what is so damned good about it... and maybe this time they will stay away from the crappy squad based multiplayer.

Modern Warfare 2 will be the 6th Call of Duty game... Hence shortened to COD6. World at War was the 5th so COD5. It's perfectly valid.
