I didn't know where to post this.
This is a thread dedicated to skateboarding. I don't know how many people here actually like it. I know some of you play skate 2 and stuff. So share shit about skateboarding. Videos, photos, or articles. Whether it be of you or stuff you find on the internet and Youtube. You can discuss you progression, just gooo.

I have recently stepped back on a skateboard after about a couple years sitting on my ass. I suck. It's fun to skate, and I'm going to keep skating until my body won't let me. So share.

I'll start it off with a video on Youtube. It's of one of my favorite skaters Rick Howard. He is the head of Girl Skateboards, a pretty well known company.

i met rick howard a while back at a Girl demo in raleigh. real cool guy.
if i was ale to skate for any skate team it would have to be either girl or lakai.
(theyre both practically the same team, same skaters and all).
but yeah, i used to be hella into skateboarding.
my favorite skater was Marc Johnson, last time i checked, he skated for chocolate--which is owned by Girl, and lakai shoes and matix.

dude, i used to be able to name bout near every pros sponsors and all. i was really into it throughout middle school and last year. i aint skated in forever tho.
i think once i started gettin into tech and video games, just stopped skating.
i wanna try to get back into it, cause i got a bunch of friends who skate, and it would be pretty cool to do it again.

i wasnt able to watch that vid when i posted cause i was at school. but i got fully flared on dvd. its by far my favorite skate video ive ever seen.
marc johnson's video part is like 3 or 4 songs long, its crazy.
him and mike mo capaldi tear it up in that vid.
not to mention guy mariano comin back after a long while out of the lime light.

that vid kicks so much ass.

i love Chris Haslam's rediculously over the top flip tricks.

when i was first getting into skateboarding, i wanted to skate for almost. mainly cause the first video i ever bought was almost round 3.

i had seen vids before that, like Yeah Right and such, but Round 3 was my first vid.
i remember i always wanted to do that bluntslide on the skateboard like chris haslam.
it was soo cool. awesome video.

i remember the first time i saw the add for that deck in transworld. it had a cut away of the deck and it showed the styraphome or carbon fiber, or whatevers inside it and i just thought it was the coolest shit.


but then i went to vertical urge (the local shop) and i saw the deck was like 90 bucks alone.
i was like f*ck that. i think i ended up getting my first chocolate board after that. it was a gino ianucci pro model, and it was orange and had this sock monkey on it. it was a cool deck. that whole pro line was cool.

But Barlleta makes skating look fun. He's got a very unique style it's pretty awesome...

Plus, it's always locked.
But the elementary school has a bunch of rails, sets of stairs, and walking ramps.

You can't really compare skaters. Saying that one skater is better than another is bullshit. It should be about who enjoys it more.
I was at the skatepark the other day, and a kid came up to me and started asking questions. Like, what kind of board do I have, and how many tricks I could do? I just wanted to tell him that it wasn't about all that shit. Just do it and love it.
