You guys are probably gonna hate me for this but what is Half-Life 2??? I've heard about and own it (played it once) but i have no idea what to do, what its about, or what the things with no heads are.  Please tell me these things.  Also is it a good game?

Well, play the original Half Life for some backstory. Can you afford to buy it? If so, that's about the best explanation there is. Grea game, great series. Not to mention The Orange Box is a damn great buy!!

Simply put...

You play Gordon Freeman who worked at Black Mesa in the original Half Life. In that game you are part of an experiment that opened a dimensional gate by accident and through it came all the baddies and the Vortigorns. The games are about the aftermath of that experiment that went wrong.

I had never played Half Life either. So I just read a story synopsis on Wikipedia.
I started playing Half Life 2 pretty recently to. It's fun!

Tf2 will make you want a gas mask(pyro) and cardboard cutouts of each class' face so you can run around like the spy.
