I've come up with an idea for a competition to help boost the other competitions...
Winners who enter our competitions will get one (1) Ethical Gamer God point (EGG) for each competition win. On getting 10 EGGs you get a the Ethical Gamer God badge (and maybe some real life goodies too). Further competitions, like the survival quizes done by Eronious, will offer 1 EGG each.
OK... here is a free egg to the first (unchanged) correct answer...
Q. Which temperature is higher... Fahrenheit or Celsius?

neither, that is a way to measure temperature and is not a temperature itself.

Neither, they are both ways to measure temperature itself, not the temperature.

Seriously though, Farenheit is 5/9 Celcius + 32... isn't it?

I WIN!!!!! You be ALL wrong... (except those mistaken answers at the beginning lol) - If the temperature in the room was above -40oF then the Farenheit temperature reading would be the higher number...
- If the temperature in the room was at -40oF then the measurement in Celcius reading would be -40oC (flipover point)
- If the temperature in the room was below -40oF then the Celcius temperature reading would be higher.
It's a trick question... If you don't believe me try it for yourself here -> http://www.onlineconversion.com/temperature.htmIt's something I remembered from physics class (or was it chemistry... can't remember where I remembered it from) and then got reminded of it by the last SG1 TV movie...

The wording of it made me think it was a trick question to begin with and it wasnt a hard one either, considering i got it correct from the beginning i'm satisfied with that.
Also rewording the question so that we will make wrong guess's at this trick question when our first answers were correct = Fail

Gotta love the kelvin's answer that brought back some college memories! If my memory serves me right 0 degrees celcius would be -273 kelvins....... Nice brain teaser though, I wouldn't have got it other than the fact there had to be a trick in there somewhere!

Nah... I just worded the question wrong (and I still dunno why you thought what you did... US vs UK sentence structures maybe?)... I was looking for the normal answer of "Farenheit" as most of the time F is greater than C. I just wanted to point out that the when I do make a quiz that there will be trick questions in there. It was a good first run because it showed that I will have to think the questions through a lot clearer and you will have to not assume that what seems to be the answer is the correct one. But yes... my first question should have just read "Which temperature reading of a room will result in the higher value, reading it in oF or oC". I wonder what is so special about -40... lol. Back to the EGG idea... what do you guys think about it?

Just try to make the questions less confusing lol.
