Shhh. My common sense is tingling.

« on: May 12, 2009, 07:49:10 PM »

Sorry it's late this week, folks.

Results:
A.) Follow Drew/Jackson: You keep the M1 carbine and run downstairs to help out. You’re immediately in the thick of it, though, as there are an unknown number of zombies in the darkened living room and the two brothers are doing their best to hold back the zombies in the doorway leading to the first floor hallway. However, the zombies seem to grasp the concept of what the riot shields do and concentrate on ripping those from the two men. Drew grabs his shotgun and starts firing while Jackson apparently decides to play the hero and tackle as many zombies as he can so Drew will have an easier time killing. You step up and start beating the closest zombie back with the butt of the carbine. A zombie pops up from in front of Drew and bites him hard enough to release the shotgun. You crack the zombie in the skull and it falls back. You reach for the gun but a second and third zombie rush forward and tackle you to the ground.
DEAD

B.) Armory/Ammo: You race back to the armory and reload the magazines as fast as you can, which took longer then you anticipated because of the adrenalin flowing through your veins. Another mad dash to the bedroom. Six more zombies dead. Reload. Five more. A shout from downstairs informs you that it’s clear down there. You reload again and head to the living room, where you see Jack and Drew picking Steve up and putting him carefully on the couch. Jackson is nowhere to be seen.
ALIVE

C.) Armory/bigger gun: You drop the M1 on the bed and go back for a semi-auto shotgun that you know Jack favors. Your feet barely touch the stairs as you make your way down and you’re just in time, too: Jackson is being mauled by zombies and Drew is trying to fend off his own attackers. You bash one zombie in the head, knocking it back into several others and then open fire, cleanly killing eight and basically destroying the necks of two. Drew then fires his own shotgun, finishing the job. Jack appears behind you and asks what happened. You tell him what you saw and he goes to check on Jackson. He calls your name, sadness and terror in his voice. You enter the front room and see your friend Steve laying helplessly on the ground, propped up against the couch and oozing blood. The two of you get him onto the couch to make him more comfortable.
ALIVE

“Oh, goddamnit.”

Do you:
A.) Put Steve on the couch and make his last hours comfortable.
B.) Bring Steve outside and leave him to die.
C.) Bring Steve outside and shoot him.
D.) Shackle Steve securely in one of the empty barns.

Yeah I missed one week because of being in hospital damnit... and the hospital bedside internet terminal wouldn't let me connect to EG lol... it filtered it out as an unclassified website heh. I now have a mobile that can browse the net a bit better but it's still not brilliant... but doable.

Oh and I forgot what G.O.O.D. cards were... and it was me that proposed them now I remember lol. DOH!

Now I have caught up on the story I chose D, Shackle Steve securely in one of the empty barns as it seems he might die... don't want enemy combatants at large behind the barricades.

I know I am modifying my answer but I dont want to pick what everyone else is picking...

I'll go with A. We dont know he was bitten by a zombie, what if he was struck by one of your bullets?

C. Although I wouldn't shoot him. That's a noisy way of killing him but I guess the zombies know where you are anyways.

Bastards. Well, at least you're a cybernetic organism from the future...they can't keep you offline for very long. I reinstate your G.O.O.D. card due to those jerkfaces being jerkfaces.

Heh... me and a friend I made in the next bed were trying to get the damned internet working on the terminals which used such old version browsers (probably IE1 lol) that when I went onto ebuyer.com it totally froze the system and they had to send a tech to come out and reboot the thing manually.

In fact it was kind of funny... I would be reading an ebook and I would hear cursing from my friend in the next bed as he tried to get the damned internet working too but it was so damned shoddy and such low bandwidth that it could take up to 3 minutes to load a Wiki page. Add to the fact that you have to pay daily for the crappy service I gave up after 3 days. Even the TV was worse than a portable TV with a wire hanger aerial in a low signal area. Utter drek in fact.

Perhaps I was actually running my own survival game while I was in hospital. "Survive the rigours of an Internetless Society" perhaps heh.

Oh well, out now.

I don't think that's cheating since the results haven't been posted yet.

Correct, as long as you don't modify your answer after the results are put up, you're fine.

A.

You don't know if he got bitten, and are unsure about jackson. I rather stay in the house than make noise, distant myself from base or friends, or put myself in a corner.
I can always shoot him when he turns anyways.

I have a feeling either he'll help cause jackson and/or jack turn OR.. he adds to being one of the zombies that are inside and I die =x

Whether or not we survive from choosing it, I'm just unsure on what benefit that gives us compared to the others. It's sorta just like leaving him outside.

But if you leave him outside, he's free to do whatever he wants to.
If he's shackled up, he really can't do anything to harm you.

I'd think that the coast is clear outside though, since the fighting's over.

errrmm...

Now I have caught up on the story I chose D, Shackle Steve securely in one of the empty barns as it seems he might die... don't want enemy combatants at large behind the barricades.
