I really dont calculate it like yous guys.

I just start from little weights and go up to like 70 and go back down, sorta like a pyramid..

Its better for me.  Applaud

I can bench press 45 lbs in a couple reps before exhaustion. I'm not skinny, but I'm not strong.

Lower weights and a lot of reps is better anyways.

Personally...

... I use a really good iron and a blanket on top of the bench to keep from getting marks on my shirts. Cheesy

I think my one rep max is... 115. I normally rep about 70? 75? I don't remember. I only wiegh 111ish. Actually I'm going to weigh myself right now.

Yay I weigh 113. Anyways, make sure you have a spotter. And know that lowering the wieght to your chest is just as important as pushing it back up. Don't drop it instantly to your chest and bounce it right back up. Take it nice and easy.

I read that somewhere..

Doing it nice and slow, is more of a workout for your pecs and biceps.

I found that one area that I am REALLY weak on is pull-ups. I just can't do them, even when pushing out 100 push-ups was easy. When I was that fit I could only do like 8-10 pull-ups no matter what exercises I did to build up my muscles and what is worse is that I only weighed 8 stone at the time. I'm guessing it was another symptom of the damaged protein chains around my joints which causes joint hypermobility.

Thing is, why is pushing easier than pulling? Anyone know?
