If so, what are you watching right now?

For me, I used to be an Inuyasha fan up to season 2, but it just kept repeating itself over and over until I got bored with it(I here the manga is better, however). I also used to be a pokemon fan(I still am on the video game side of things) up until season 2. In season 3 they changed voice actors and it all went down hill from there... Let's see... Oh yeah, I watch most of Conan Edogawa, but AS(Adult Swim) stopped showing eps., so I will have to finish watching it online.

BUT, right now, I am watching Clannad. I originally started watching it because it has been said to make everyone cry by the end of the show(two seasons). I guess it is a romantic comedy of sorts? But it isn't the normal Japanese romance sorts of "I love you, I hate you, He hates me? I hate you!" storyline. Everything goes out as if it were a normal highschooler's life(sort of... there ARE
ghosts
after all....). I don't even know why I like it...  I guess everything runs so smoothly and naturally, and it is practically devoid of Japanese archetypes(at least the annoying ones) for me to dislike it. Heck, half of the time I forget it is a drama/romantic comedy.

So.... Anime: love it, hate it? Long time watcher, or are you just a newbie? Can't stand it? What is YOUR opinion?

Btw, how do I add a poll? Newbie here.  Huh?

I've watched some anime before, mostly DBZ, Trigun (awesome), Cowboy Bebop (awesome), and I'll be starting Fate/stay night after I'm done with Dexter because my friend couldn't possibly recommend it enough to me. After F/s, I'll probably move on to Hajime no Ippo since I also hear that's one of the best animes available.

I like some anime because they do what movies can't on a much lower budget but I typically don't go out of my way to watch or collect them.

I've watched a bit. Never watched more then a few episodes of DBZ when I was younger, didn't like it.

I've watched Trigun, first series of Black Lagoon, the anime of Hellsing and what OVAs that have been released of it. And bleach at the moment.

I think the only anime I've ever enjoyed was Ghost in the Shell. I really wished I liked anime too because they made a prequel anime to go with the Dead Space game which I'm playing again and enjoying a lot (and yeah peeps... I'm enjoying a third person game damnit!).

Actually, I can argue that. They all learned brand new moves randomly that just happened to counter the new moves their opponent just randomly learned and used against them. That was dumb.

I've lost interest in anime a long time ago, but I did used to watch a lot of it. I particularly liked s-CRY-ed, Noir, Azumanga Diaoh (sp?), Elfen Leid, Blue Gender, and Trigun.

Trigun is pretty cool. Nothing like a pastor carrying around a large, six foot cross, only to split it in half into two large cannons.  Shocked

I tried to get into it but all of the ones that were recommended for me were boring and stupid(Shigofumi and Elfen Lied).

Later on though, I found out that most people who like those kinds of anime do a lot of drugs. :p
