I prefer NFS Carbon cause of the drifting races you can do, nothin funner then a down drift course with an over-powered muscle car to have some fun.

i've played a LOT of both of them, and i would definitely go with most wanted for the EPIC police chases and huge races. the customizable cars are not quite as customizable, but you can still get them to look SICK. i thought carbon sucked because of the whole "team" racing thing. it seemed kind of tacked-on and more hindering than helpful. i really enjoyed most wanted, so i would definitely go with it. and plus, since it was a launch title.. you can probably pick it up for like, 3 bucks.

Played both... but prefer Most Wanted by a mile tbh. There was something about Carbon that was just not as good. As Panda says, the chases in MW are awesome. NFS has been going downhill since MW tbh.

just wait 'til you get to some of the bigger chases.
it's so rediculously fun running from like, 67 cop cars.

The final chase is like OMGWTF10,876.
MW just flows better than Carbon. When I heard Undercover was MW2 I was like "WOOOHOOOO"... right up until I started playing it and then I was like "WTF is this POS!".

remember this.
Carbon: Only nightime. Most Wanted: Only daytime.
I like most wanted, cause of the world in there.. like near the beach and you can go through harbors.

Heheh and smash through the furniture on the boardwalk. There is one bit I really like though... There is this building that you can drive inside and end up on a first floor ledge overlooking part of the circle road. Cop cars come dashing in and try to ram you even though you are on a floor above them... Ends up with a cop car destruction derby heh.

MW was good and all but the copy i had kept freezin on me after a 12 minute police chase so i couldnt get the last of the game complete, Carbon in my books is better simply because of the drifting and no other reason. Man i love drifting.

yeah, i wish they would re-make NFS: Underground 2.
that game had the most legit drifting, and a free-roaming city to do it in.

Actually I preferred Underground 1 to Underground 2. Dunno why... Maybe it was because it went a bit too cartoony for me. They even made the real actors look cartoony too. Gotta love those crappy actors though heh. Say CHEEEEEEEESY

i didn't like that either.
but the cars in that game looked so photo-realistic.
i think i might borrow my friend's old copy of MW and play through it again after reading this thread.

Or buy one of these... You are not allowed to view images. Please register or loginSkip Dr Automax... Just spray the disk, drop it in the machine and then it pops it out after resurfacing. Polish with the cloth and TADA... working disk again. Originally bought it to fix a scratched windows disk that wouldn't load. http://www.keenzo.com/showproduct.asp?ID=873605Higher initial outlay that going to gamestop but it works for multiple disks and ends up paying for itself in the long run. Rescued a bunch of my disks and it even works on CD's and DVD's. I got mine off ebay I think... Oh and you can get replacement resurfacing wheels too.

Seriously... ask your parental units to get one as it helps fix scratches on their DVD's... hell just scratch a few if it would help heh (just kidding). Personally it's restored about 10 times the cost of the Skip Dr now.

I used to have a skip doctor but it was a hand operated one and once the wheel lost its rubber strip thing that removed the scratchs i couldnt find a replacement for it. One of the automatic ones would be nice to own.

Damn Kronic... That's what I do. I've been throwing so much shit out lately myself that I keep thinking "I'm sure I'm gonna need that next week!". Oh well... you know for the future. Oh and that "special resurfacing fluid" is only ionised filtered water (which you can get from a car accessories shop) with a little isopropyl alcohol added to maintain its sterility. Make my own "special resurfacing fluid" and comes out cheaper than if you buy the "real" stuff. Works just as well too. Which reminds me... I need to introduce my Mass Effect Disk to my Skip Dr because of a certain "friend" I lent it to. Oh and one thing... it will not remove huge deep scratches. For that you would need to cry a bit and then get a new one.

the underground series was at it's core, win.
but the free-roaming elements of number 2, while kinda fun.. really didn't add anything to the game.
that's when it started going bad.
the races and rediculously detailed customization was so damn fun.
NFSU2 will always be one of my favorite games.
