OK, I know you are expecting me to moan about the bugs and problems with the game but there is one problem... I can't find any!
Seriously, this title is EXTREMELY polished. Everything works well and the cars behave right. In Forza 1 and 2 the AI cars were on rails and it was hard to make them spin out (if you are getting peed off with losing). In Forza 3 though the physics are applied to ALL cars. The AI cars even make mistakes if you pressure them. I was behind the leading car in one race and he tried going faster and ended up skidding off at a sharp bend.
There is one criticsm though... loading times are LONG... even when installed to hard drive. But so far that is the ONLY problem I can find with this game.
Way to go Turn10.

Noticed that about the AI, HUGE improvement, I saw the AI spinout into a tyrewall myself. Though I haven't tried hitting a tyre wall yet, do you know if the tyres still act like a concrete barrier?

Nope... Tyre wall = BOING! heh
I overcooked at one corner at the top of a rise and lost traction and hit the tire wall.
Forza 2 was pretty much Forza 1.5 imho... Forza 3 is a HUGE leap forward in my mind. The painting system is VASTLY more usable in F3 and you can even do your graphics on a sheet of what looks like graph paper instead of the car and then stamp the image on the car where you want. The menus for the graphics have been limited to 1/10th of the screen instead of nearly half the screen which means it is easier to line up your art better.
Oh and us limited edition owners are identified on live with a little crown next to their name. We even get TWO giveaway DLC cards in the pack which includes VIP Membership, Exclusive Car Pack, Free Forza 3 Premium Theme (eventually), Motorsport Legends Car Pack, Sidewinder Proving Grounds Track Pack and Benchmark High Speed Ring Track Pack. All in all USEFUL stuff... not like the Modern Warfare 2 crap.
Have to say, this is a pretty much flawless game in my eyes. Even the loading time is good in a way as it gives you time to flop your wrists around to get the stiffness out after playing a while. The 60 frames per second in Forza 3 have also meant that it doesn't strain your eyes. After a session of Forza 2 I would end up with my eyes streaming because of the flicker.
There is one cheeky thing though... the screenshot of the limited edition box makes it look like the USB datakey is metal like the keyfob. It's actually just the way the light shines on it. In real life it looks silver too... until you take it out of the box and you find it is grey plastic heh. It's a Sandisk 2gb one so it's still good. The keyfob itself is MEGA CHUNKY metal. No cheap throwaway keyfob this... it's really well made.
So yeah, after the dismal attempt that is Operation Flashpoint 2 with mega amount of bugs we get Forza 3 with NO BUGS and smoothness profound. Go figure.
I'll do a full review on Thursday hopefully.
There is one problem that is not part of the game itself... this is the Premium Forza 3 theme that is supposed to come with the LCE... I entered the code and got the Limited Collectors Edition stuff... but no Forza 3 theme. Others on the Forza 3 website forums are saying the same thing so maybe it's just not available yet. We are 3 days before the official release after all heh.

Nope... just the two scratch cards that come in the box dude. They are the freebie stuff in the LCE version of Forza 3.
Oh btw, on xbox.com I went to check your progress in Forza 3 and up popped "This player has not earned any achievements yet." heh. Guess getting the game 3 days early meant that it busted xbox.com.

HAH! I FOUND A BUG! Hehe... I was having problems with my Ford Shelby GT500 '07 and really screwed up... I hit restart and there I was on a grid of... ONE CAR! All the other cars were listed as Did Not Finish! DID NOT START MORE LIKE It's happened to me twice now... I just hit restart again and the cars reappear. I'd feel like I was cheating if I went around a course and got a default win (it's boring too)...

Why are you the only one who ever finds bugs.
Also another great point about the game, in forza 2 I do not remember hearing the whine of a super charger, yet I can hear it in this game.

So are any of the bugs you found gamebreaking? Currently the only thing I found to be a breath of fresh air is that the AI can be screwed over with the right tactics. I do agree that the AI on rails (Forza 2) is annoying, and that made the game feel monotonous, in my opinion. Seems like Turn10 made a U-turn and revamped their engine.
Many good choices but I currently have enough money to buy one title.

I found a way to beat the races on the HARDEST difficulty by going around the track at 30mph... lol. Totally reproducable too.
I think I had better submit this bug direct to the devs or everyone will be getting free cashola.
Not found any real game breaking bugs in the game. When Guyyug hosted on his slow net connection we had some really bizarre stuff happening. We started this one race and he went around the corner and WHAM... he was driving while 10 foot in the air for a few seconds and then the game realised what was happening and fixed it. When we shifted to me hosting most of the lag stopped.
I've played it for 2 days now and am only just over 3% completed so you can see how big the game is now. Granted some races feel similar but the opponents change... and the AI is just as vulnerable as humans in overcooking corners and making mistakes. I was drafting this one AI car and he totally missed the turn, and I ended up following him too heh.
When everyone who is getting it gets the game we will have to have a big race.

Then everyone else can watch as my Shelby GT500 pulls of and become a speck to everyone in the distance as Neo saw earlier. Also for everyone who plays Neo, a sure fire way to win is just make him laugh.

HEY... Letting out driving tactics is a no-no... Just you wait, my GT500 will be rebuilt... we have the technology to make the first bionic Shelby (we just don't have the credits lol). Say, did you get the pic I gifted of you where it looks like you are doing a wheelie... ON THE FRONT WHEELS? It was from when you rammed into the back of my muscle car and came off second best.

Just got it recently when I was playing, didn't realize I went so high... Shame the site isn't fully functional with the pictures, we could show everyone else our shinangians. Btw, the shelby has been and gone, my exige may not have the same top speed as it, but when it comes to accleration and handling it's quicker and is a better car.

Well me an Guyyug will be willing to race with you Skud. I might have to host though as I have the best ISP connection at present. I so want to do a destruction derby type race where the rules state that after the second corner you can use any and all means to win (except going the wrong way).
The AI is the most realistic of all the Forza games now... don't try to draft an AI car as they make botchups too... If was following this one car really closely when it went off at this one corner and I followed him into the damned wall.
BTW Guyyug, my Exige has been used a lot recently... good call.

It's my most commonly used R3 car. My Veyron is a rocket, the handling on it is good and can hit over 200 MPH easily on most tracks, just need a 3/4 mile straight.
I had a random bug the other day, the track didn't load, everything else was there, just no road to see and the cars just gliding over it. Reseting the race fixed it.

Well I reckon I'll definately have this by thursday as I found out earlier someone I did a (very) minor computer favour for has given me £20 for my troubles Yee Haa!!!!!!! Liking the sound of a veyron By the way, I've driven an exige 14 laps around thruxton (and an F430 afterwards ) - was very nice too and mildy rapid if you catch my drift (Got some lovely in car footage of the instructor going into the first two bends at 120mph sideways with me laughing my head off....)

Well I've got a quick review on MP.
The first thing, alot of people are arseholes and will try and ram you off of the road, use you as a brake and just drive not using the brake at all. It spoils races alot. Luckily for me I found someone and we had a great number of races, he was using a stock Mclaren F1 and I was using my ford GT, both putting a few wins under our belts.
The classes are split into five groups;
R1 R2 R3 S A
S seems to have the most people followed by R1. Most people use the stock cars it seems, though there are those who use, like myself the, their own cars so it's a mixture of cars quite often which is nice.
The private games you can play does affect your trueskill rank as I was the same rank as when I finished my head to heads with Neo.

That experience sounds like all that I've heard before about the likes of forza online A lot of players will mask their lack of skills with aggressive tactics it seems and ruin it for the genuine gamers..... (and I don't think that just applies to racing games ) Best to stick with private games with trusted friends!

Well at the moment, of the people here, only me and Neo have the game until tomorrow when the it finally hits the US. The person I enjoyed racing with added me so I'll more then likely play with him again at some point. It should die down after a few days once the game loses it's appeal to those who just want the next big game. I just hope people don't get as eiltest as what happened in forza 2 where a slight knock by complete accident will get you shouted at.

So who is up for an EG race then?

Hehe, I'm tempted to put on the side of it Lil' Rocket. Oh and it was a lambo Must be your drving style Khronic, most of my focus of cars go into handling and i've put my drving into that, yes I do get outclassed on the fast circuits like the ring, silverstone and road america are the top three, but thats only a few. My dad is using the alfa beram he has asked me to the GTA white and clover symbol on it even though it isn't a propor GTA.

Kronic I know what your problem is... it's down to the power that you can put into the wheels (ie a LOT). Brake into the corner and VERY slowly increase the throttle as you come to the apex of the corner... for gods sake don't just push the power fast because that is what makes the back end break away and you end up in a hellacious spin. You should have seen me and Guyyug the first time we tried overpowered cars... first corner and we were both off and it took us AGES to get back onto the track because we kept doing donuts by accident. Try lowering your suspension (but not right to the bottom) with the rear slightly higher than the front. Then increase the downforce on the back end (if you have a Forza wing). Soften the suspension slightly too. It's probably something wrong but it made several of my overpowered cars hold the road easier. It doesn't work on a bumpy track though... then you have to tighten up the suspension instead of softening it. Must remember to check my Forza 1 guide I found the other day (played Forza 1 until my fingers ached). I've been playing Brutal Legend too much recently... need to get back on the track heh.

That was when we were in the LMP1 Bentley's wasn't it? I can't remember who won that race.

The problem is not spinning coming out of the corners, i come flying in brake hard and start to turn when releasing brakes...thats when it spins. The steering is so responsive on that little lotus that it just throws the back end out on me all the time. I'll stick to my AWD and RWD cars, they get the job done. :)

Yes the Exige is RWD but its also mid-engine which makes all the difference. Aggresive driving style and mid-engine cars dont mix to well for me.

I advise you not to use a porsche then. That rear engine would be hell for you.

Porsche's i can drive, just gotta be easy on the throttle when exiting corners. Nothing beats a good ol'front engine RWD car though :). (or AWD depending on track)

I love how you can make the rear end break away on rear wheel cars... get it right and you just drift round the corner great... I find though that when my morph is running out I tend to hit EVERYTHING (again, Guyyug can tell you how I suck when I DO suck... Italian Job eh? heh).
It's just getting used to the new physics engine... I find it's MUCH better than FM2.

I noticed that in the cockpit view with this game when driving manual he doesnt move his hand to shift gears and you can see (not sure about all the cars) that theres no paddle shifters. I like how they got rid of the off track counter also. Its just taking to damn long to build up a bankroll for myself to be able to buy and fix up a car the way i want it rather then it just being a car you need to race with for certain races. I wanna see what those Z28's, IROC's, Camaro's, Firebirds, & Trans-am's can do with some upgrades and tuning.

I've got the exige already and it's a bullet! No complaints on the handling, only got the back end out once really... And the abarth is bloody fast too with a weight reduction and brake upgrade So far liking the game, found it very similar to forza 2 but a bit prettier. Already got over a hundred k plus a few cars (the exige is the only purchase I've made) - should be up for some online with you guys in no time! Oh, and the veyron is fun in free play racing - nothing can get near it

There ARE a few bugs in the game but all the game breaking ones have been eradicated I think. The mega cheat where the other cars end up with a DNF really should be stamped on though as you can get loads of money easily with it.

How's that glitch/cheat work then Neo as I've googled and found nothing?! (just curious of course!) - DOH just read your post again, must try that later for research purposes or course Can't imagine why it would give you much advantage as I'm playing with the AI on easy (as I like to win ) and after only 2 days playing I'm already up to £220k credit and a load of cars - at this rate that veyron will be mine soon mwahahahaha......... I presume the glitch you found still involves actually running the race so no different than my way and without the hilarious fun of drafting the lead car till he goes straight off at the next corner, or lapping back through the pack on the longer races! (Haven't done the latter yet but did it loads on forza 2, already had some races with a 10 second per lap advantage though) Also saw a free roam glitch on youtube in test mode that allows you to roam around the pit lane - bit pointless but might try it later.

You have to run the race but you can put the difficulty on MAXIMUM and still win as you are the only car in the race. It's like the other drivers just want to finish the other race first heh.

I tried driving around a race at 30 mph (god that was dull ) but just got lapped loads and then finished 8th! (I did wonder why the other cars were still racing though Feel free to PM me if you like Neo, I'd be interested to see what you're doing.

Errr... faulty memory alert!
Wasn't the Merc I used to hit 254... was a Lambo I got given at a driver level.
Are the car types given to you fixed or random?

They've updated the animations recently, the driver now changes gear in cockpit veiw, though not outside. I was suprised that didn't add it in the first place considering that took parts from the PGR4 engine.

You been running people off the road Kronic? Or maybe pwning people at MW2? I also want to mention that KronicMayhem's gamer reputation decreased somehow. I don't know who he ticked off, but that isn't good. I hope it was just a misunderstanding!

I was pissing a few people off in MW2 yesterday with some major ass kickin. I killed a bunch of people 5+ times per match and made them start to talk shit to me complaining about my tactics and insulting me, i had my turtlebeachs on listening to them but had the mic muted while i sat there and laughed. I was going 23+ kills and 5- deaths each round with the ACR and made them feel inferior, lol. (on a side note, this one guy went 45-3-2 on wasteland in one of the matchs, that was impressive)

LOL... when I got the Grudge Match accolade I was accused of cheating... just because I went 23-3 and most of my kills was the same guy heh. Idiot kept walking into open areas so of course I was gonna kill him. Was like having a bloody target on his forehead. Oh yeah, and he said I had a wallhack... everyone on the server took the piss out of him when he said that and he left. Some people eh?
