If this is anything like Fallout 3 It will be awesome.

As this is obsidian rather than Bethesda do you think they will stick with first person view or reckon they will try to go abck to what they originally doing with the fallout series?

Oh and guyyug what do you mean fallout lore? Did number 3 not stick to it? I never played the first 2 or how many there are.

I was considering the last two spin off fallouts, were not completely true to the lore. New Vegas will be the sixth fallout game devloped.

Tactics had a few contradictions, so thats considered part of the story as long as it doesn't clash with what is already set. It was devloped by monte cristo.

Brotherhood of steel, devloped by Interplay, took the fallout lore, put it on the ground and smashed it repeatedly with a brick.

And Obsidian are using Beth's engine, so it will be third and first person.

Most likely the NCR (New Calafornia Republic) making a move on new vegas.


Thats a better picture of the flag which is shown in the teaser.

Could make for an intresting story, the NCR's background is one of the most extensive in fallout lore, with BoS and the enclave. And from what I've seen in FO2 involving New Reno, and what one of the characters said in FO1, I'm guessing New Vegas will be alot like that. So sex, drugs and gang warefare.

Well unless the calafornia flag has a two headed bear and NCR in the background. 

God, knowing that flag in the teaser, even without a good view, I knowing that it was the NCR. God I'm a fallout nerd lol. I was even playing FO1 earlier. So many weapons in FO1 and 2 which were not in FO3 such as the desert eagle, a powerful magnum, though I think the latter was replaced by the 44. Pistol.

Found out some info;

The game is set 39 years after the events of FO2 and 3 years after FO3. The player plays a couriar, I assume someone who delivers messages across the wastes. With the NCR there is another faction called Ceaser's legion, this faction was going to be in the original FO3 before it was cancelled.

Karma is back, but there is also reputation like in FO2. To get an idea of this, in FO2 you could join the slavers, you got a mark on your forehead, and I walked into a settlement and with in a matter of seconds, combat intiated and my character was shot apart.

Also hitting an enemy with a close combat weapon will have unquie animations. And also there is a hardcore mode, you need to drink, ammo has weight, and healing isn't instantanous like FO3 where you slept for an hour, it's going to be more like Fo1 and 2 with added water.

The Brotherhood of Steel will make an appearance, but won't be one of the main factions, unlike the New California Republic and the Caesar's Legion
Special attacks in VATS are performed by pressing Y (For 360)
The Pip-Boy in the game is the Pip-Boy 3000 from Fallout 3
Your quest in the wasteland involves finding out who tried to murder you and what was in the package you were carrying
In Goodsprings, there is the option of joining with the Powder Gangers and ruining the town.
Customization - Scopes on pistols is one example. It also affects the guns performance, add a large magazine to a weapon, and you'll notice longer, but fewer reloading times. A return from fallout 2
The reputation will be important to the ending
Nightkin have been turned schizophrenic through prolonged use of Stealth Boys, they deactivate their camo before attacking you, with a club. You can only target them in VATS when they're visible. The Nightkin were super mutants part of the master's army in FO1 and 2.
You can covince Tabitha that the dumb mutants are planning a revolt against the smart ones, and that causes a battle between the two factions, leaving you to go and grab up Raul. More left over super mutants from calafornia it seems, those mutants have so many sub factions now. There are the super mutants who support the master, though he is dead, the ones in chicago who have joined the Midwestern BoS, those who are living peacefully in broken hills in calafornia and now theses. And don't forget the mutants from the capital wasteland
Poseidon Energy was developing a solar weapon called Archimedes II. The plant is currently controlled by NCR, and they've placed a guy named Fantastic in charge of the plant, he hasn't figured out how to activate the plant or the weapon yet. But, if you're good enough, then you can. You can divert power to the wastes, or use the weapon for your own ends.
SPECIAL descriptions are back: If you have 1 Endurance, your Endurance description is 'Basically Dead' and with 10 Charisma you are 'Cult Leader'.
