I completely missed the fact that this game is being developed by DICE... I wonder if it will be on their Frostbite Engine? So I went online and found this...

“As many of you may have read, we are using a heavily-modified Unreal 3 Engine for Medal of Honor’s single-player campaign” and “I guess the cat’s out of the bag.  Medal of Honor’s multiplayer will be using the Frostbite engine” were the tweets that unloaded the news. Whether they will seemingly be forged together to deliver a gameplay never before experienced, or eventually break one of the most anticipated games of the year - which happens to be the “get-out-of-the-way-Modern-Warfare” game - remains to be seen.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering what engine was used for the debut trailer, it was the Unreal Engine 3.

The Last MoH title I bought was European Assault... can't even remember what it was about lol. I do remember Rising Son had a crap review so I didn't buy it.

I loved Rising Son, mostly because that's just what we had at the time. I remember spending hours on split screen.

It's Rising Sun... The Japanese flag. I was typing fast and I tend to spell phonetically at times. Oh and the U and the O are only 2 keys apart lol.

Just got the Beta last night for Xbox 360 and I've been playing it recently and love it. Mix of BFBC2 and MW2 and I really have no complaints about the gameplay.(Yet we had no complaints about MW2 at first but after awhile it was garbage, so who knows). People complain about lag but I don't experience any, except right after I get killed there's like half a second of it. My only real complaint about the beta is that it freezes your Xbox constantly. I only have about an hour of play time or so on the beta and my Xbox has already froze 3 times. :/ Otherwise first impressions aren't bad at all.

I didn't pre-order the game, but yesterday I got an email from EA with a beta key.  Went home and downloaded after work.  I like it.  A lot like Bad Co. 2, but I think it looks and flows better.  I've seen gameplay of the beta and the weapons were customizable.  Maybe I haven't played enough to earn those customizations yet. 

From what I've seen on trailers, the campaign looks like it's going to be good.

Well I'm not impressed with MOH multiplayer... more than half the time it lags out just at the worst possible times. BC2 is like 100000000000000x better.

For example I spot an enemy and open up on him with my paintballer (that's what I assume they are, they don't sound like guns to me) and I see X's appear and he doesn't fall over... next second I freeze for about 2 seconds and then die... Like WTF?

If that happened once or twice I wouldn't mind... BUT IT IS EVERY FEW MINUTES! Run a few feet... freeze, die!... respawn... freeze, die!... respawn run a few feet, kill someone and... freeze, die!

I've cancelled my order thank god... I think I am just going to say sod multiplayer... my internet connection just isn't good enough and FPS games seem to lag worse than ever now... the exception to the rule is BC2. Because Dice were doing the multiplayer I had hoped it was going to be good... FAIL! I'll wait until it drops into the bargain pile to play the single player....

But lag in MOH isn't my biggest complaint... it's the sheer number of spawn deaths just like MW2 that pisses me off... The number of times I died in less than a second after spawning was ridiculous. Grenades and mortar strikes was what was doing it. And then there were the annoying gits who kept pushing in front of me to get a good viewpoint to shoot from.

I think I've just about had it with multiplayer... I don't feel the enjoyment I used to get when I was playing COD4 or CounterStrike.

On MOH... it IS problematic... I know part of my problem is my net connection (and I pointed that out in my previous post) but others are complaining about the same problems so it's not just me... Just search for "medal of honor beta freezing issues 360" and you will see what I mean. Apparently the PS3 freezes even more.

After MOH crash/locked my 360 four times when I got more than four kills I gave up lol...

Thing is, I've watched demos of people playing the beta and it never locks/freezes for them... I wonder if there is a timing problem with UK consoles again.... The complaints about the spawning though are not whining one bit... they just, plain, SUCK at times... I mean... Spawning INSIDE a gun so you can't move lol... I even saw one guy spawn on the other side of this wall... not bad you think... except the wall separated the game area from the huge drop into a chasm... buh-bye player hehe.

It IS a beta and it might get fixed in time for launch... but I will wait and see... There was a patch on the PS3 to fix this problem... obviously it hasn't reached the 360 yet...

Oh and there was one "DOH!" instance with my MOH playing... I went to go through this building so I went up to the door and slashed it... door just laughed in my face... shot it... still giggling... grenade at it... chortling now... yup... the frostbite engine is actually the "SlightlyNippyOut" engine version with no destruction... DAMNIT! It's one of the main reasons why I still prefer BC2...
