So I know for SURE that my old plasma is a big cause of lag.

So I am going for height to snipe from and I end up going outside the map. At 2 seconds I am just about to enter the safe area and then I FREEZE UP AND DIE. The counter then showed 1 second when that happened. Didn't seem to give me the full time to reach safety. Another thing is that because of this YOU CAN'T ****ING FLANK ATTACK.

God I was SOOO freaking pissed off at that because it took ages to get where I wanted due to the stupid game  engine making me keep slide back while climbing up tiny embankments.

Another thing that pisses me off about Frostbite is that I got stopped running BY A TINY ****ING ROCK! Of course it stops me reaching an enemy tank.

Oh and ANOTHER thing that is ****ed up in this game... Enemy sniper drops C4 in the road as I am reversing... I am about 20ft away from the C4 and he is right next to it and he sets it off AND MY TANK EXPLODES YET HE IS OK. Getting rid of Friendly Fire is OK but you should not be safe from blowing up your C4 and not killing yourself.

The game is fun but FFS, there are a bunch of really pissing stupid problems with it.

I'm beginning to wonder if those C4 charges actually were on my tank and lag made the guy appear to be dropping them in the road.

Oh and what is wrong with using Plasma to game with (I never get screen burn if that is what you are thinking).

I think I am going to save up for a new TV though... I think a lot of my gaming woes are due to the delays caused by the screen and using component.

Plasma is to blah compared to LCD or LED Tv's...

Considering when I bought it LCD large screens weren't even developed let alone available to buy I kind of had no choice.

Have to admit I like the idea of an LED backlit LCD screen (yeah haggs.... LED screens are actually LED backlit LCDs... true LED screens are only used for things such as HUGE screens like you would see at a football game).

The C4 glitch I haven't encountered as of yet. In the last one we all knew about the one were C4 fell off tanks and on to the floor only for you to blow the crap out of yourself. Though your not safe from your own explosions.

Though with that sniper I don't know what happened there. Mate this is once again random things that only happen to you for some reason. I can't think of what happened. Maybe you over judged the distance? Or more lag for you? Thing is though Neo you can't actually see enemy explosives unless they are pointed out so its probable that they were on your tank.

This smaller map is starting to get annoying though. Hopefully the full game has a bigger maps (much bigger). So there is more variation in tactics.

Speaking of Tv's I want a new one as well mines 2 years old now and is starting to show its age. I did find a very nice LED back lit Samsung for £729 in John Lewis. Althought the world of TV buying is very completecated these days.

Hopefully a good variaty of maps, map as small as end of the line was, though I hated that map. With maps as big as Harvest day.

And with TVs, a TV to me is a TV. I got a new TV for the christmas before last. It has a good picture quality, is HD the sound wasn't great. But I've got my xbox hooked up to my chair which has good speakers on that anyway.

Harvest day was the best map, well that and Oasis.

Oasis was my favorite map, it was the one I did best on, and had my highest score of over 2000 on, and that was on the demo only about a week after coming out. I really liked acension when you got up to the monastery, shame you could atleast blow some of the walls apart there though. But the gun fights down the hall ways always proved fun.

Totally forgotten about that map. That level would be amazing with the newer version of frostbite. I hope they do bring back some old maps.

Nope... I actually saw him thrown the c4 packages in the road... if they were actually on my tank (according to my client that is) I wouldn't be able to see them because they would be out of my camera view. They were definately being thrown on the road according to my client and I definately could see them.

It might have been a sync issue... probably something linked to lag maybe? It's not happened today that I saw and I have been blowing the crap out of snipers the second I see them heh.

One thing that I have noticed that REALLY pisses me off... I setup the game perfectly... great games and then I leave... come back and I'm playing crap and then realise the dumbass demo doesn't save the settings so have to go back and go through setting up the video brightness/contrast and button layouts again. Roll on full game launch so I don't have to keep doing this.

Oh and I hate the bolt action sniper rifles... I hit this one guy 6 times (6 times the X came up) and still he didn't die. Then one round of his hits me and I'm dead lol. Thank god I got the semi-auto sniper rifle now so I don't have to keep hitting the fire button to reload.

Oh and the queue for the UAV is worse than the bloody artillery now... I've not ONCE got a sniff at trying it... at least no FF means no mass knifings like in BC1. Battlefield is the only game that has frickin queues in the game (even 1943 had queues for the planes).

The one time I managed to get the bloody Apache was when I hadn't realised that the damned game had reset my button layouts and while I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on I ended up getting heavy machine gunned out of the sky.

I'm doing better though... got 3rd from the top of the scoreboard just... and got a Bronze Star but can't find it on the stats page.

Damn straight Neo with button layout resetting be fricking irritating. Every damn time such a pain in the arse.

The UAV is not used properly by these idiots anyway and unless you have a squad of people who understand it is wasted anyway.

Personally I love the M24 I can't get used to the headshot not killing someone with the semi auto rifle. Getting that headhost at range is satisfying. Best shot though was my double heatshot  I have managed it twice both lucky as hell but I don't care. First was on a medic and the guy he had just revived and the other on two guys on the ATV. Spent a while feeling pretty awesome then a tank found me....

Panda I assume you have killed someone with the defib? No joke i genuinely had a guy to defib my tank...no really sure what he wanted to do. Not got a ill with the drill yet though, on someone not in a tank.

Oh one last thing unfortunately the VSS is back in all its full automatic glory but it the semi auto is that weak I think the VSS will barely do a thing. I wonder how lethal the 50 cal will be.

I have in fact gotten a defib kill from some n00b going for the defuse. And speaking of the .50 cal, look up the squad deathmatch video on youtube, it shows the .50 cal with a red dot sight. A barrett with a reflex sight. Bad****in'ass.

I've done well with the semi auto sniper rifle heh... I used it as a shotgun and it works well lol. Actually I was gonna get ganked by 3 enemies when I set the charge on the target and I panicked and next second they were all dead... no aiming... just shot from the hip. Now if you try that with the shotgun you don't even get a single kill it seems. Wierd that.

I was looking at the weapons and I really wish they had updated the selection better. Adding better sights and stuff is OK I guess but a better weapons selection would have been great. I'm just hoping that they give us some more guns in DLC this time. It's basically the BC1 loadout with bells on atm.

Look in the all kits section and there are some pretty cool guns. M14 and the G3 being two of them

Screen burning(Like you mentioned) and the picture comes up later than other TVs. Which is fine for regular Television(Since you wouldn't notice the difference anyway), but in gaming everything will come up like half a second later after you do something.

I've realised there is a major problem with Bad Company 2...

COMMS LAG!

I occasionally hear my comms echoing back a second or two later... but it was only when a lot of times I have gotten Guyyug shout in my ear "WATCH OUT - BEHIND YOU" a second AFTER I am dead that I realised that there is a delay in fact too.

The problem is that warnings are very time specific... the one second delay can mean the difference between life and death, it seems.

I also have noticed several glitches last night... one I got awarded my Red Dot Sight for the Engineer class... then I went to get the sight and couldn't find it. Match ended and I noticed I was 16 points short for getting it... seems like some of the points are not getting awarded... They have even noticed this on the BC2 forums.

When I finally got the scope and finally did select it... the game went bonkers and kicked me out of the game I was in... Guyyug who was in the game with me stayed in the game. When I started in another game the red dot sight was there and installed fine... Looks like a nasty little bug is still in there...

I am not sure it is comms lag Neo so much as Guyyug sees tham and in the time he trying to tell you.

You've been shot and killed, simply they were to close for his warning to do anything. I use private chat as it is mostly me and my mate playing the game in a squad of two. So more often than not there are times when I say there's a guy behind oh nevermind as he is screwed anyway.

I believe there is a slight lag with comms, but I believe it isn't the game but myself using a wireless mic.

Crash, when playing with Guy I hear my own voice come back to me in the background over a second or two later... Halve that and that is the lag factor which is enough to screw up warnings.

It's kind of funny though... My tank blew up and my ghost can see the flames and wreckage and then I hear...

"NEO THERE IS SOMEONE WITH A GUSTAV BEHIND YOU"

Doesn't make me angry... just makes me laugh. 

Still, have to say this... even though I played crap last night I didn't have much lag at all. May have been because I have now installed a Netgear wireless N router. Strange thing is though that my gigabit lan is still running at 100mbps instead of 1000mbps even though I have replaced the wire with Cat5e.
