Playing on Insanity they keep ****ing ignoring my orders and then jumping OUT of cover and getting themselves killed. I end up being a ****ing nursemaid instead of a bloody Commander.

For example I setup an ambush in a corridor... I get my 2 squaddies hidden behind uprights. I go to the door and open it... AND TALI PUSHES PAST, GOES RIGHT INTO THE OPEN AND GETS ****ING KILLED!

What is the use in giving orders if they are just going to get ignored. Most of this playthrough I end up on my own because my squad members end up ignoring what I tell them and jumping out of cover... cover where they are perfectly ****ing safe and jump right into the middle of a crossfire.

WORST ****ING AI EVER!

Seriously... when you load up Insanity I think it means it turns your squadmates insane. I nearly threw my controller through my plasma screen just because of this dumbass bug/glitch.

Another thing I hate about ME2 is ledges... I am in sight of a vent button on the suicide run and Tali is screaming for me to push the button... And the ****ing game won't let me mount the ledge... move along a bit.. try again... rinse and repeat... then when I finally DO manage to get up and push the button IT NOW WON'T LET ME TAKE COVER BEHIND A ****ING BARRIER... and I die.

The game is soooooooooo ****ing cool that it really pisses me off that poor control systems and glitches ruin the climax of the game.

My squadmates are being quite well behaved on my insanity playthrough, well besides Miranda, I died twice when protecting Garrus due to her not going where I told her.

I've had them run right into the middle of the enemy in the middle of a firefight because my order got cancelled between waves and I didn't realise. Half the time I make they stick right to the back because they have a tendency to wander off.

I hate all AI players, they are all stupid, disobey orders, get in your line of fire, and run in getting themselves killed.  But i've learned to accept that and now if i'm able to control where they go and shit i just leave them behind, sneaky ****ers keep showing up at bad times still but i guess thats revenge for me walking off to do the killing myself.

Yeah.. I was just shooting from cover just... last wave and I go to duck into cover because my shields were down and I was at 1/2 health and that dumbass Grunt pushes me back out of cover.

Makes me want to ****ing scream my head off when that happens. Mass Effect 2 is also full of dumb glitches that just aren't apparent when playing on normal but scream at you "I AM GOING TO GET YOU KILLED EVEN IF I HAVE TO GLITCH AND CHEAT!". I was just in one fight where I was stuck on 1/5 health and it refused to regenerate.

It's like the quality control guys never even tried it on Insanity. Things like Armour bonuses don't get applied (in fact I don't even think your stat bonuses apply too because I notice my powers don't recharge as fast too), characters get stuck or just ignore you, powers don't recharge for ages and my classic... I DID A BLOODY ELEVATOR RIGHT ON TOP OF THE SHIP when I was getting Grunt. There was I, stuck way up high and didn't even have a bloody sniper rifle to make use of it lol.

It's annoying because the Insanity achievement is the only one I have left to get. It's the fact that the combat takes ages now that is so great but ruined by glitches that steal your advancement right from under your feet.

Problem with squadmates, as a soldier I have to rely on them, I'm still stuck on that collector ambush in the ship. I've tried different ways, I thinking of putting warp ammo, help me get through the barriars with my LMG. My last save was just before the threshar maw, doesn't bother me much beat it in just over a minute on Insanity, very easy fight. So it's only about twenty minutes tops away from where I am now.

Well I am stuck on Horizon with my Adept... The husks just come at me from all angles and the dumbass squadmates just run right into the bloody Scions and die. If I tell them to take cover they do but stand up JUST as the Scion fires resulting in death.

The problem with the bloody Scions is their shockwave. How the **** does it affect my shield when my shockwave doesn't. This has got to be the worst ****ing balance out. Shockwave should be the same for both.

Well as far as I can tell, the Scion's attack isn't a shockwave, notice how you get covered in that blue goo and you shields take longer before they recharge.

Though Neo, you are going to have alot of trouble considering you started from level one. On my soldier I got through it quite easily, Inferno grenade from Zaeed was used on the husks, it takes the armour straight down on husks. And the Revant LMG with Tungsten ammo, I rip through those scions, I had to leg it to the other side of the courtyard because I was being overwhelmed by husks.

Scions arn't as hard to deal with on insanity, it's everything else you have to worry about.

As long as I get a tech with a drone, Scions are pussies... It's just on Horizon that they are a pain.

I actually finally did Horizon by using the Firestorm for the first time. Fried all the husks and then whacked the Scions with Zaeeds inferno grenade and Mordin's Incinerate... Plus warp from Shep... took a while though... and then the 3 waves... that took ages too... but then that goddamned PRATTorian.

Damn I hate that thing.

I found the waves the hardest. The preatorian I found quite easy, grenade launcher is the best heavy weapon. Also, adrenaline rush and leg it as far away as possible. That and my LMG does good damage to armour, specially with tungsten ammo. Far better then the vindicator, avenger or the geth pulse rifle.

Stick stuck on collector ship, tempted to see how firestorm works out.

Aim for their legs with the firestorm... melts them lol.

I was surprised how fast it worked on the husks too, because it really ripped through them. Have you tried the combat drone method I previously used when doing it on Insanity. Took me about 8 tries to get through... Problem was my teammates would get ganked and leave me to deal with the scions on my own... lucky that I was an engineer though, and had the drone power myself. Dunno how I am going to do it without the damned drone though... I will have to put tali somewhere safe I guess.

BTW, have you noticed that when you use a squadmate power it comes from YOU and not them. I had my other squaddies on the opposite side of a Praetorian and I was behind a vehicle... and then I did a Zaeed Inferno Grenade and the damned thing splashed on MY side of the vehicle. After that I noticed that when I did the squad powers they always came from me. I even put my squaddies in a room and took on the enemy and the squad powers came from me every time.

Yeh, as long as you can see it, it will hit, also it hit's almost instantly, but the player can curve abilities which can be useful. So it's a good mix.

Problem with me using tali is that she doesn't have much staying power, Miranda doesn't either, besides Zaeed, there are not many squad mates effective against collectors which have good amount of health.

Just hide them... I use Grunt as my mobile tank and hide Tali or Moronda somewhere and just use their powers as if they were mine. Half the time they don't even have to fire a shot...

It's really weird... I just breezed through the Krios recruitment level on Insanity... Eclipse are really crap heh. I loved knocking their shields and armour down and then curving a nice lift and then doing either a warp or if I am being really mean I do a throw... I had this one guy not die and there he was stuck on a girder way above us... Cheesy

God, I wish that Bioware would sort out the AI... I love this game but omfg are the AI mental... I just told Jack and Grunt to cover this other side... Grunt obeys but Jack goes all clingy and won't leave me alone and ends up getting me killed when she blocks my retreat when my shields drop.

WHY WON'T MY BLOODY TEAMMATES OBEY MY COMMANDS, DAMNIT!

Here is another poorly executed bit of code... The damned Varren.

The N7 mission where you have to protect an injured Quarian is really peeing me off on insanity level. The Varren just ignore me and my teammates and go and chomp on the Quarian and in next to no time the mission is over. The Varren even go THROUGH the bloody Singularity field as if it isn't there.

This is where the scripted missions fall flat on their tush... The Varren also have the worst animation I've seen in a game in ages... Hell, the dogs in MW2 are better than this. They don't behave like a wild animal would either... If something is attacking it from the side they just ignore it to go chomp on something that isn't threatening them.

Also, why the hell would you leave an injured person there... You would put them somewhere a lot easier to defend. This is supposed to be a ROLE PLAYING GAME for god's sake... I just wish it would behave a bit more believable at times. For example, if it was me, I would climb up on the rocks and shoot from above... but in ME2 you can't climb on them in that level. Oh well... go back to an earlier save I think as I can't figure out how to do that N7 level on insanity.

Neo, the best way to do Insanity is not to do the N7 missions unless you know they are easy ones. Remember my first insanity plathrough and screwed myself over because I did the N7 mission with the crazy robots, and my last save was about an hour and a half ago.

I'm trying to do them because the fruckin game has glitched and Samara won't give me her loyalty mission... every time I go back to her she wants me to go away while she meditates.

I have this feeling that I will have to go and do the loyalty mission AFTER the IFF one... which means squishy crewmate time (that is if the glitch doesn't clear itself).

Well you could just not do Samara's loyalty mission and make sure you use Jack as the one to put up Biotic shield.

I've come to a conclusion with bioware companions in their games. They never have good AI. Was playing NWN earlier today and god were my companions useless, good job I have an AI mod downloaded for them so they are of some use, as I can change their tactics far more then what bioware give you.

I feel that DA:O is the only bioware game I've played where companion AI hasn't given to much of a problem because you can set their tactics up.

Yeah... I love the DAO AI setup... that and you get 3 companions instead of 2.

I have been having some weird glitches with ME2... I did the Battarian Missile Mission where there are 2 Javelin missiles flying and you have to fight through the defenders and then choose the missile to detonate.

Well I eventually fought through the enemies in time, took out the commander and then pressed the button to detonate the missile... AND THE 360 LOCKED UP WITH ME LOOKING AT THE BACK OF KRIOS' HEAD LOL.

To say that I raged for like 5 mins total after that happened. (we so need a facepalm smiley lol).

I've had that bug a few times, usually only happens if you skip dialogue, the worker on the catwalks during thane's loyalty mission is a prime example of that happening. And then the camera locks up, had it happen talking to chakwas as well.
