Wouldn't harm to reset the cache... could be a corrupt file from the crash to dash causing the problem.

Try playing other games? See if they will run. Maybe take it back to where you bought it and tell them its defective.

I'm wondering if it is a 360 problem as not being able to update the game sounds a bit suss.

Yeah, I couldn't connect to MW2 at all last night.

For some reason now I can connect to games and such, there's nothing saying that I have a corrupt BFBC2 save. Weird eh..

Sounds to me that your 360 overheated and was having integrity problems... seriously! That is exactly what happened to one of my old PC pre-builds now I think of it. Thing was going freakin stupid... so I turned it off and went to bed. Got up the next morning, turned it on (expecting the crap again) and it worked fine.

Look up the 360 RROD returns method dude... I have this horrible feeling this is the first symptom of this nightmare.

Seems like the servers or something are messed up.  I can't connect to any game type in BFBC2.  I've tried resetting everything, nothing works. Undecided

Edit:  Hah, as I posted this I got a "server is full" response.  Lame.

Yeah I found out it was just my computer I didn't have a full connection for some reason so it couldn't connect with like half the servers.

However, I'm running out a patience with these EA servers, and all of my friends are. There is so much server overflow.

It usually settles down as DICE/EA get a handle on the server problems... did with every Battlefield game I've played so far.

And now for something completely different

Great thing about living in England, people from the states start turning up after 6pm here, meaning we have most of the day with good servers. Played some games with crash earlier, they were fine besides having moron teammates, our squad was making a great distraction behind their lines and not one person used it to get in and plant the charge.  Undecided

And I played a few games of conquest they were fine.

Problem?

« Reply #26 on: March 08, 2010, 08:10:26 AM »

Don't see why EA continues to have such problems.

Why not overestimate and then downsize? Money issue possibly. But even then, it would make a more successful launch which is good for people who both want to play the game and those who want to check the game out.

They are complete dumbasses. It's like after a few games they should realize that they either need to spend more money on quality servers or just need more servers in general. It happens every damn game they release and I'm sick of it, I try not to complain but EA just doesn't understand trial and error. Like I said, bunch of trials, bunch of errors, they should result in a solution to the problem. It's almost like they have a bunch of people that never even passed highschool working for them, its just common sense.

The problem with Battlefield is it has ALWAYS been a victim of its own success and because it is reliant of EA servers it will always have a screwy launch week.

I've not planned on playing BC2 multiplayer until at least next week. By that time they will have tied down the server population usage and will be a lot more stable.

This is one case where we KNOW that game will settle down and become great fun. DICE are a lot better at it than IW and have a longer track record. It's only EA's shitty "Only add new servers when needed" policy that ****s them over every time.
