Maybe it is too difficult to add in through a patch?

But they had no excuse not to include it in MW2.

they patched mw2 and it helped with seArches. IW can never be forgiven for their arrogance towards international players.
cod 4 was my first xbox live love, dont think you will ever be able to match that fun of the first time.

Have to admit that I loved COD4... It really was addictive (especially those wierd gun battles in the hanger with the enhanced physics... Haven't laughed as much since.)

I think that I just OD'd on FPS games tbh with you. I just lost interest in later ones (even Bad Co 2 wasn't as much fun as BC1 yet it is loads better... go figure).

The thing about Bad Company and Dice is that they are always throwing good stuff at you to keep it fresh... Just look at the new Vietnam mod coming out on Tuesday... Ages since BC2 came out yet they are still releasing stuff for a real bargain price. Now look at what IW thinks is a bargain... map packs that suck (including OLD maps they expect us to pay for again)... and not for cheap either.

Oh well... IW died anyway... unfortunately they bloody well respawned again... Now why couldn't they respawn in front of an airstrike like they made us do?

COD 4 > WAW > MW2

« Reply #17 on: December 19, 2010, 11:35:32 PM »

X-Pac I disagree actually.

I feel like CoD4 could never be compared to any of the newer ones. It is so different, its hard to actually explain how. Its just....flawless.
By COD 4 effect, I mean that towards the end of MW2's life it became more fun cause it was a lot easier, and some of the bullshit could be avoided. Same thing happened with COD 4, cept the bullshit part, it got easier for me thus more fun.

Cod4 has a lot of memories.. lol That's when everyone was figuring things out.

Miss when my clan was one of the few rush clans/planters and when everyone "feared 10th prestiges" back in the early days. Also, the rpgs! Favorite weapon evaaahhh.

I hope IW (or whats left) learns from blackops and build on it. I want something more like cod4 back. I love a lot about that game.. and only wish people would still play on it. I need my buddies!

I think my favourite FPS that I shot the crap out of was Battlefield 1942... with Modern Combat mod. That was COD4 with vehicles years before COD1 came out... and then some people have said that Bad Company was just a clone of COD4 lol. Morons!

Oh the days of nadespam and crazy Willys Jeep driving with Germans used for hood ornaments.... And using Anti Tank rounds to get to top floors of buildings... Was soooo much fun.

Roll on tomorrow... I R OFF TO VEEEEEEEEEEEE ET NAAAAAAAAAAAM! Cheesy

Battlefield2: Modern Combat for me. I think thats the correct title. BUT only on xbox or pc. The 360 vers sucked ass.

AND... I wish i could have played the futuristic one on PC but couldn't run it.. lame.

Battlefield 2142... Another game I wish I had played even though some peeps say it was great while others say it was utter crap. I'm quite looking forward to Crisis 2 this coming March... graphics look amazing even on the 360.

A revamp for BF:2142 would be great. Even if it's an arcade update or something. I srsly want to play that damn game.

Me too mate, me too.

I was really pissed off that when I found that Frontlines: Fuel of War died out really quick online. When I originally tried it, the game sucked due to lag OFFLINE let alone online. Loads of screen tearing, the lot. But the patch made the game really awesome. I mean, REALLY awesome. I played the campaign through multiple times and loved it every time... That is one game I will keep going back to.

But I missed 2142 and Modern Combat on PC. I got Modern Combat on 360 but apparently that is a shit conversion. Have to admit I didn't much like it compared to Desert Combat mod of 1942. Those guys were way ahead of the pack for doing a current timeframe FPS game. Jumping out of a C130 into our other base and driving nice tanks and APC's over the enemy (and then getting RPG's up the butt lol). The models were really professionally done too... Actually those guys are the ones that made Frontlines. I just hope they make a sequel and learn from the first Frontlines (ie don't release until it is streamlined).

I actually liked frontlines for the most part. LOT of issues, but when you got around them it was a good game, er at least concept wise.

One of my friends got hooked on it and I relied on him to be there when I wanted to play lol. I wish games went more left field than it is nowadays. Games are so similar to each other it's harder to find a game that has something you like, WHILE living up to your standards of another game.
Most of the time ppl pay attention to the engines now to know if they will like how a game plays.
Sadly, not enough people use a good engine (or fix/add to one that has a nice skeleton), to make a game with a unique concept. GoW is probably the biggest "difference" if any, in use of the unreal engine.
Or on the other hand, many don't create a good engine to start with.
Idk
I want APB concept, and their customization, and someone to tear apart the engine until it shines.

Let's hope B.R.I.N.K will be good.

After Frontlines got patched most of the issues vanished and it became really damned good. The lag went byebye and it behaved as it should. Unfortunately when it came out, nobody was playing it multiplayer anymore. Really a damned shame imho.

The guys behind APB went into administration right after releasing it though, didn't they... Not a good sign at all...

... yup, not a good sign at all.

In early November, Sweeney Kincaid industrial auctions announced that a huge number of lots from the company would be sold via online auction ending on November 12th. The items on auction included high definition televisions, high-spec workstations and gaming machines, retail Xbox 360s, and curiously a copy of The Beatles Rock Band for 360.

Following the sale of these items and the intellectual property rights of its flagship game, Realtime Worlds successfully paid off its remaining employees and disappeared from the public eye, shutting down its domains and closing its offices. These offices are now available for let for office, commercial and leisure uses. As of now, the building’s fate remains uncertain.

Well, i hope you have the secondary account of mine lol. Me and my brothers have seperate accounts. And yes they made/named this one but :RiceEyez or something of that nature. It should be on the igotznoeyez account(also their brilliant spelling).

But i honestly wish my clan would hop back.. I barely play games period these days.
I've gone back to joining the hardcore carry-a-fightstick-and-have-tournaments fighting game players for sf4 and the like. Hell, ive probably spent more time playing games at the arcade than at home. Sf4, maximum tune, initial D, and some time crisis mofoos.
