Both games are awesome but maybe for longevity I would say Bad Company 2. Mass Effect 2 is great fun but is completed in less than 42 hours of play, including all the current DLC. With Bad Company 2 however there is the problem with the bloody spawn camping at times. Other times the game is great.
Both games are ones I am glad I bought (unlike BioShock). But remember there are more great games on the horizon... Splinter Cell Conviction is one demo I have played over and over and over again and STILL I am enjoying it. I like to see how many different ways there are to complete it. Then there is Alan Wake that is out next month.
Yeah... even with the spawn camping I'd say BC2. But then again, Mass Effect 2 has dropped radically in price too... In the end, it's your choice.

Yeah, no 360 and I played the first on PC. I'm curious to see how ammo/streamlining most of it works out because I've kept myself in the dark about the majority of its aspects until I could find a cheap copy.

It makes it far more intresting, and tactical then ME1 with the thermal clips. ME1 you just ended up smacking two frictionless materials on an assualt rifle and holding the trigger down until you kill them.

I don't know the graphical differences between the versions, but I just took this screenshot while playing. I like it so much it's my new wallpaper.

4:3 screen Eronios?
It's a nice picture although the sunlight on the smaller planet seem wrong somehow... It's like the sun is in orbit around the planet.

Yeah, I'm playing at 1024x768. I know the background there is mostly 2D but I'll get more screenshots posted.
I was worried about my framerate because I have a low-range AMD dual-core and it was chugging hardcore but a few .ini tweaks kicked my game to an average of 75 FPS. The beginning of this game blew my mind, I'm still scraping gray matter off of my ceiling but the consistency from the first game's nuances coupled with the new streamlined portions are what really keep me playing.
I'm so damn glad they got rid of that horrible inventory.

yea, i'm on my third playthrough and still lovin it.
As to the talk about it being too short: while the game itself with DLC is around 45 hours, remember playing with a different morality and gender changes the talking points quite a bit.

I'm taking breaks between each playthrough unlike how I did it for the first ME. It makes the game fresh too when you choose different genders and classes. Having Kasumi for a full playthrough is going to be awesome.

The problem with me taking a different morality veiw point when it comes to games, I generally find playing a renegade character boring, same goes for evil characters in most other RPGs. My most evil character I've finished a playthrough with in any RPG was a Chaotic Netural rogue in NWN.
But I have don't multipe playthroughs as both female and male characters, because there are sometimes added lines depending on the gender. You do get an extra line in the blue suns recruitment office on omega if you play female for example.

Don't you mean you DO multiple playthroughs as both male and female? I find playing renegade in ME2 really damned hard because sometimes I am totally negative and get positive karma... I also sometimes get negative karma when I am positive... what gives?

One of the pre-order armour outfits looks very Iron Man'ish. Like my avatar to the left...

Speaking of the inferno armour. It is avalible for download with what I believe are the Dr Pepper promotional helmets for 160msp, released today.
Terminus with the blackstorm projector still not.
And Blood Dragon is most likely going to stay unquie to those with DA:O

I am Iron Man. Minus the helmet. I use a similar outfit for my character, then made it white so that it would look a little like a Star Wars stormtrooper. Combine that awesomeness with the soldier profession... basically the reason how I endured the insane difficulty. And Blood Dragon is most likely going to stay unquie to those with DA:O
Pre-ordered or new copy?

New copy, you get a code for the armour which can be used both in DA:O and ME2 as well as a new companion for DA:O which is far better done compared to Zaeed or Kasumi. Though I had to replace my copy of dragon a little while ago, to far to get to a place to resurface the disc. So I have a spare code for the armour if you think it may work. First come first served. Xbox only I believe. Oddly enough besides colour scheme the blood dragon armours look nothing alike.

I'll PM it to you soon.
Just to add, I downloaded the Inferno armour and extra helmets. I was wrong about the helmets. They are not the Dr Pepper ones but two completely new ones. One reminds me of the fishbowel helmet on Halo 3.
