I  play online shooters,  not as much as everyone else, but I do. I find them to get dull and repetitive, but fun every now and again. Perhaps I wouldn't ( so much ) if there was some sort of music in the online parts of games, instead of just silence until someone shoots something. It could really help out long matches and music can help you do things better. I understand the importance of hearing footsteps and such, so I imagine the option to turn the music off, but I think music not being exclusive to singleplayer would be very cool.
I could just use the 360's ability to play music while gaming, but I think if the game used its own music, it would be much better.
What do you guys think?

I think Neo touched on this a loooonnnggg while back.

I wish there was some more environmental music. (like enter a building and a lone radio is playing etc etc).

You would hear it every once in awhile, but not much to be too noticeable.

I think the ability to host music/game hosted music would be great. As long as the ability to turn it off or change it is available then I'm all for it.

it would be impossible for a developer to choose a set list that would please everyone. i wouldnt like music at all in a shooter.
im guessing any spare space they have left for development should be spent on gameplay (and local search) rather than music.

I don't always listen to music whilst online unless playing a racing game, in fact I rarely listen to music during a game unless it is a racing one. Though some games have music which fits into it.

FO3 was good with it's music, I love listening to GNR when traveling around the wasteland due to it.

I think I mentioned how I was pissed of with IW about music ingame... you either turned off the audio totally or had to listen to the ingame music... there is no seperate music track in MW2.

This is what I hate about IW... they force crap onto you. I would rather listen for the enemy than hear stirring mood music. Another reason why I stopped playing MW2.

I remember the "your the last one left" music scaring the shit out of me one time when I was left against 4 guys with a sniper and a pistol D;.

Doesn't seem too fun.

Lol... the best track for playing MW2 is "One Man Army" by The Prodigy...

Played that at the start of a round of COD4 and I kicked ass... until the song finished lol. Another couple of good ones are "This is the New Shit" and "mOBSCENE" by Marilyn Manson.

And yeah, I know I supposed to be "too old" to listen to those heh.
