Just got my copy of Split Second.... TWO DAYS EARLY! Game ROCK for pre-orders. I only ordered it yesterday as well heh.

I will post a review later... just installing it onto the hard drive...

Just completed the first episode but OMFG is there a bug...

You can be sweeping around a corner when all of a sudden the car just loses power... just like your wheels aren't touching the floor and no matter how much you try to accelerate the bloody car JUST CRAWLS ALONG LIKE A TORTOISE. It's happened twice now when I have been in the lead... really annoying.

Wished I had waited for Blur now...

1. Random slowdowns for no reason.

2. Crashes happen when you run over nothing (not enemy power plays because it says you wrecked yourself).

3. You can be at flat out speed and the other cars pass you like you aren't moving. Your cars are just underpowered compared to your opponents cars.

4. Power plays are so freakin stupid at times... I clicked to fire off a power play at cars way in front of me and the tanker next to me blows up and it says I killed myself.

5. You can be at the rear of the pack (so no power plays going off) and be driving in a straight line when all of a sudden you hit invisible brick walls.

6. Alternate routes... Sometimes the alternate route is activated by A and other times it is activated by B. As the warning to change routes is only up for a split second (pun unintended) you hardly have time to read what it is and hit the right one.

I loved the demo... the full game though is full of flaws.

Told ya you should choose Blur over some cheap Canadian made piece of crap lol.  Yeah I'm Canadian to but i hate everything Canada makes from movies to games and anything electronic, only thing good we make here is Marijuana, Lumber, and Beer.

ARRGGHHH!!!

Whoever coded the bloody crash detection should be shot on sight. Seriously, I missed this other obstacle by a mile and then BOOM it said I crashed... but then it put me back on the track and then less than a second later it AGAIN went BOOM and that I had crashed a second time before I had even accelerated again. Then there was this one time I opened up a shortcut and was going to go down it when my car started to curve to the left, following the road. Turning right had no effect and I continued turning left. Thinking that I was being nudged by another car I looked to the right... BUT NO CAR!. The physics are bullshit to the state where other cars can ram me off the road but if I try to do it to them it is like hitting concrete.

Sorry but Split/Second Lack of Velocity is totally annoying as hell... Will trade it in I think for Blur when it comes out.

Oh, and don't forget about the music (Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion, Nickelback, to name the popular ones).

Good ol' reliable Neo, taking the piss out of games before I would think of buying them. The bugs you just mentioned are definitely gamebreakers as far as I'm concerned with racing games.
