I used to think that writing a book you just sat down at a typewriter and just started typing. You can always spot those books by the inconsistencies and plots that get lost. This includes characters popping up in chapter 10 that you killed off in chapter 8 (you would be surprised at the number of books that this happens in).
My first novel I did the first way... just making it up as it went along... bah... worst, mistake, EVER!
So this book I decided to get all the info about characters, locations, what tech I would use etc all down on paper... or digital paper that is.
This is a GREATLY shrunk image of my books design...
