What about the Iraq war then? MW2 came out while forces were still dying in Iraq... There wasn't a call for a global ban of that game and you could play as an Iraqi shooting US soldiers...

I still think it is fishy that it is only MoH that is coming under fire in this way (pun unintended).

Like people on both sides have said numerously, all it has to do with is a simple name change. You played as iraq soldiers but they weren't named "taliban".
Currently the "taliban" is a hot word because of people relating them to 9/11, the current war, etc etc for legit reasons or not.
ALSO, i think the whole bbc thing probably made the us armies make sure they stayed out of that controversy. If I could avoid the press for some bull, i would do the same too. imo, they handled it better than others have. I dont see them pushing a ban on the game or anything like that. They are relatively understanding, because IMO, i think they truly dont give that much about it.

Actually the reason the BBC isn't pushing for a ban, not saying they would or wouldn't. Is because the BBC has to remain netural. They can't show more support to one side or the other.
