[Red Intensity]

So far, I liked what I saw and played on the Vanquish demo. Much of the combat was as fast-paced as what was shown at E3 earlier this year, and the boosting helps a lot. But in my opinion, it played like a faster-paced Gears of War, complete with the overconfident, gruffly-voiced protagonist that's also a former star college football player.

Not disappointed, but I wish the main protagonist was a scientist, as that would have fit a little better with the battlefield. Definitely gonna get this title.

I didn't get that impression personally. I got more of a hybrid between Gears of War and Bayonetta. Complete with combos and style points.

I really like it, but one thing disappointed me. The fact that if you melee or use bullet time at all, it triggers an overheat. I kind of wish that if you used only a few melee attacks or you only used bullet time for a second, you would have a little bit of energy left over. This would create a myriad of new strategies. But as it stands, it feels like they undermined the ''style'' aspect of the game in hopes of not undermining the shooter aspect.

I liked this demo, without thinking to much about it it just felt like a fun fast paced shooter to me.  I'll probably rent this one for sure, i don't see it having much replay-ability after its been beaten once.

I enjoyed it too but wouldn't buy it as I'm not a Bayonetta style combat fan. I'll probably rent it too.
