Quite a good find; makes me wanna overhaul my computer Can't do that until maybe January 2011, if things go as planned.

Yeah red, sign up for their forums, you can get a beta invite once it goes live. No announcement when thats happening though. But community is forming and looking pretty strong already.

Apparently between my last post in this thread and now, they decided to make this an MMOFPS. Or at least a persistent world sandbox.

Errrmmm... Nope... This is not a MMOFPS... it's a MMOTPS at least... but they call it a Team Based Action Shooter. They are adding a Team Accessible Realtime Display in the near future too.

So would that make it a TBAS-TARD.

Oh and another thing... Thumper doesn't look like a rabbit one bit!

Answer: Firefall is a latency-sensitive game, but we’ve done a lot of work to make sure that everyone can have a great experience as long as they are close enough to the servers. As such, we’ve gone with a region-based setup. There will be multiple regions available, for instance North America and Europe will be separate regions. You’ll be able to play in any region you wish, but currently you will need to create a character in each region.

Within a region are different channels that a player connects to. Each channel can hold hundreds of players. By default, we will try to place you into a channel with your army-mates and friends, and you will be able to change between channels on the fly. World events are not synchronized across channels. The Chosen might have taken over Copacabana in Channel 3, but in Channel 5, everything is safe. Other events, like pushing back the melding, will be a much larger event and will be synchronized across channels.

There you go Neo a game with European servers also, then again i'm sure you'll still have more then enough things to complain about if latency wasn't an issue.   


Still waiting on this damn Beta though, not a bad thing though cause i will need a new comp to run this game.
