Once again a game comes out and i will not have funds to get it. My boredom continues on. Though Im going to get a job after my next birthday, then this shouldnt be a problem ever again!

I don't pre-order games because I never know what the future holds. In any case, I'm definitely gonna buy the title (was gonna go with Borderlands but they're pushing out a GOTY edition), but I'm not gonna play the competitive multiplayer, maybe the co-op after I beat legendary alone. There's an achievement for that, from what I've read.

Hopefully I can get it a little later after launch, but still within the same month.

In a way though it is like the Germans that can't wait to play a WWII game which they KNOW they are going to lose... or the USA in Vietnam or theEngland in the US War of Independence... or England in the Football World Cup... Ultimately WE ARE GOING TO LOSE?

By the way, have you seen the live action video short "Delliver Hope"? Is that Cat that is running with the bomb and gets hit by a Banshee strafe?

I might not be very good at Halo these days (hell, I never was really) but I do love the damned awesome atmosphere the game gives you... The Halo games are just sooooooooo darned sweet, no matter what COD players cry with their "Gaylo" snipes... Each Halo game is pretty much identical in content... BUT... (and it's a big but)... but the game implementation, immersion and integration with the environment just gets better and better.

They say this is the last Halo (how many times have we heard THAT one) but I hope they finish the Master Chief one.... They have to retrieve him and Cortana someday...

Oooh... I wonder if we will come across 117 in our romp across Reach next week.... Who thinks we will then?

Bungie have parted with MS who owns the Halo franchise I think... so yeah, they won't be using the Master Chief in future.

I wonder who will be making Halo 4?

Oh and I have already read a bunch of lame trash talk about Halo Reach already... it's so lame...

love the way you all sit at your computers trying to offened. every coment you make is your own opinion and not a fact. the whole ps3 vs xbox is for sad people who can only afford one.. i have both and a gaming pc and dont consider either to be supirior. i personaly enjoy the halo series and hope that reach is as good as everbody says it will be. people who bitch about it either dont enjoy the game wich is there right or they cant afford or do not want an xbox and if thats the case why are you bitching about a game you wont get to play its either a jelously thing or mummy hogging the tv so you have to vent on cvg forums.

LOL... another Halo hater I see...

I'm hating Halo for another reason atm... if GAME had sent it first class I would probably received it today... unfortunately they send the STANDARD EDITION of the game via special delivery for some reason and according to the tracking system it only had just arrived at the bloody national hub this morning... They were probably trying to force the release date of the 14th... unfortunately there are reports of some UK stores selling it last Saturday.

If you choose to remain offline with your decked out profile, you get to keep your ducats and your duds with no questions asked. Of course, the credit reduction that occurs when you make the move into cyberspace is completely by design. I'm beginning to think they should rename the title to "Halo: Can't Reach"... at least until September 14th and only then if you refrain from offline play. FFS!

So a friend just texted me that Tesco are selling Halo Reach for £28 if you buy a bunch of MS points at the same time... So he has his copy of Reach already and for a really good price too... Me... I'm sat twiddling my thumbs even though I pre-ordered it months ago and have paid £39.99 for it... BLOODY BUNGEE FORCING THE LAUNCH DATE!

Well I have two complaints about Halo Reach so far...

1. I keep getting lost heh

2. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND MY FRICKIN TEAMMATES ACCENTS.... 

I think that a lot of the problem lies with the fact that you cannot turn the damned music down as far as I can tell (I couldn't find it at any rate). But Bungee's decision to use global accents has failed imho... I wished they had just stuck with American accents to be honest with you... At least Buck and Crew in ODST were understandable... In REACH I'm having to keep opening the menu to find out what the hell I am supposed to do because I hear dialogue that I cannot understand (the accents are THAT strong and the music drowns out the dialogue a lot of the time).

Other than that, it's rather cool... I just wish that I could have gotten some sleep last night... now I am absolutely KNACKERED at 3pm and have only had chance to play a few missions and now I'm going to have to go grab some sleep...

Eh...Halo lost me as a customer after Halo 2. But also, I refuse to pay for XBL and that was probably the biggest factor in determining the console I bought (and most games I play are on PC anyway, where the Halo ports were dreadful).

I wonder how long this franchise is going to continue and be successful.

Well tbh I think this is the last Halo for me even if it hadn't been Bungee's last production. I remember playing the first one at a PC gaming LAN meet in the UK at the launch of the original Xbox so it was kind of a wierd sort of affair for me... The first Halo I bought was on PC as well... It was only because I couldn't afford to keep upgrading my PC that made me go over to console and the first title I bought on console was... Halo 2. Go figure huh...

I didn't even wanna touch ODST because I still had the bland, tainted flavor that was Halo 3 in my mouth.

Oh, and the AI is really annoying, as many of the covenant can take a ridiculous number of shots from powerful weapons before their shields fizz off. My character on the other hand can barely take a few peas to the chest before the shields are down and the health is at critical. I'm playing this at legendary mode, but I still think many of the covenant's shields should be at least as weak as mine, as opposed to stronger than all of my squad's shields put together. Of course, there would be exceptions.

Sprint is so far the best choice of the armor abilities because it seems to actually serve a purpose that makes it enough of a threat to foes, unlike Armor Lock, which makes foes ignore me until the shield is off, then death is imminent.

And Neo is right, to some extent about the multi-accented squad.

Here is a slight spoiler regarding Kat... and why I cheered her finally.

I cheered when Kat got killed!... seriously. I was bouncing on my couch screaming "WOOOHOOO... YEAH... TAKE THAT YOU BIATCH!"...

Now here is the why...

1. Annoying accent... I love French accents normally but there was something about hers that was like nails down a blackboard to me.

2. Worst AI EVER! - loads of times I would be perfectly placed in cover and along came Kat AND PUSHED ME OUT OF THE WAY directly into the path of a hunter or some other alien threat. She even pushed me off a platform to my death the one time... And then there was the times she stood in front of me as I fired a rocket which blew us both up. The number of times she ended up standing in front of me as I fired was mind blowing... AND THEN SHE BLAMES ME FOR SHOOTING HERE. Artificial Idiot for sure.

3. She was completely useless. At least Jorge shoots at the enemy AND KILLS THEM. Kat on the other hand manages to shoot... nothing... or so it seems.

So yeah... that's why I cheered... afterwards the game got really awesome..

There was one bit that disappointed me...

At the end of the space mission where you get thrown out of the ship... I wish it would have shown you in freefall to the ground... it wimped out and shortcutted to you being shown on the ground.

But then again, I love skydiving... Freefall from orbit... god that would have been AWESOME!!!

The single player seems blah to me. Im not too interested.

As for MP its been really fun. I didn't expect myself to have fun with halo again. I got really bored of the lat one. It just felt like crap after awhile. Too much "unrealness". Idk.
Combat seems tighter and less cartoony.

I'm enjoying both the SP and the MP, more then H3. Assassination kills are very cool. I got a really satisfying assassination with the sword earlier. I managed to trick a guy with my hologram and then came up behind him, and energy sword straight through the chest.

I haven't done any mp with Reach yet... mainly because I have a bloody ear infection and I keep getting nauseous playing the damned game... balance and shit is all weird.

I really want to have a go at Invasion too...

reach is incredible.

this coming from a guy who hated halo in the past.

the SP is top-notch, with an epic scale to it.

the multiplayer feels more tactical and tighter.

daily challenges, firefight, arena, i could go on and on.

there's so much awesome in this game, definitely a must-buy for the shooter fans.

I was a non halo man XD. I didn't want to play it or cared about it.

Then brother bought it and I wanted something new to play.

Found out it's fun as hell haha.

The mp feels like less arcadey bull. I hated halo3 because each game felt like a crapload of random weapons. It was mostly about getting the power weapons to "Pwn". Now I feel like I can better survive on my spawn guns.
(alien rifle is the way to go btw).

There are still plenty of campers though.. swat gets un fun because of them.

Finally beat the legendary campaign. It's hell at its finest, but I ended up with a small spike in achievement points after the end.

Firefight is amazing, as it can either be chaotic or stupidly easy, depending on who you play with and their skill levels. I occasionally play a round that features either rocket launchers or sniper rifles, but that makes the game unfairly easy, especially if one is using a jetpack (triple kill with the jetpack activated nets a decent achievement).
