Overall I'm quite happy with the game... some bugs are appearing that are funny though (like if you put a laser sight on the pre-order pistol the gun vanishes). Another one (on the  PC) is Doc's head going wonky...

Fallout New Vegas intro bug Small | Large

The bug that is annoying the hell out of me though is the further you get into the game the longer it takes to load after entering or exiting a building or change areas. I kid you not, waiting about a minute for the game to damned well load (I have loaded it onto the hard drive too) is a bit much for a 2010 game... especially as Fallout 3 never suffered from it.

Game is still damned addicting though...

I found the load times increase after I installed to the HDD. It was quicker without it. I keep getting distracted in game doing other things. I never even hit the strip until about 7 or 8 hours in.  Grin

I found that I was REALLY having problems getting caps before I hit the strip... then when it asked for a passport or show that I had 2000 caps to get into the strip I was stuck... until I decided to rob the gang with the energy weapons... I stole their entire inventory and they were none the wiser... I then sold a lot of the stuff at Gun Runners (after walking really slowly as I was overburdened).

Was worth it... got some nice loot and ammo from that raid hehe... Guess how I did it with killing only one of the gang?

Oh and I found that the load times today have sorted themselves out... after the patch. Now they are the same as Fallout 3.

I've sort of stopped doing the main quest at this moment. Decided to look for the Brotherhood bunker. INstead I found the ski resort. ANd now have been distracted to quests for the NCR, I just took down a legion base so now they hate me.

Neo have you found the brotherhood bunker yet? I still haven't lol. ANd where are the gun runners, they were excellent for the best weapons in FO1, I wonder if the same rings true in NV.

That footage is from 360. I'm amazed it somehow passed through QA.

A friend of mine had a glitch where she lost 6 hours of game time, all her saves corrupted. As far as loading times, I only ever had that issue when I had stored too many things in one place (it was very apparent in Oblivion and they carried it over into FO3 and it looks like NV, too).

Game's fun. Feels just like fallout 3 without feeling rehashed. I think the story etc are to thank for that.

Unfortunately it feels like it takes days to really get the story going past "the guy went there, get there, find hes not there, but do a quest to know where he went" shit.

Alas, again, I have been exploring everywhere trying to do as many side quests as possible to get exp and moolah.

Nice side stories
Like, I believe, Boone's wife's disappearance and finding out how she really went missing.
Anna Mae sold her as a slave for 1k caps. Found it [bill of sales] in her safe after hours, and got boone to blow her head off in front of the Dino
I had a glitch only the first night and it was it freezing at Load. I assume the patch got it. BUT thankfully the game autosaved for me after I entered a room, soo. YAY for saving me precious play time.

PS. Traveled to a spot via pipboy map, checked text message in RL while it loaded, looked up to a bunch of guys coming at me with cleavers etc, and my character getting shot.
Soo watch out while using the quick travel.

I walked into ceaser's tent wearing NCR trooper armour, bad idea. I actually killed ceaser long before the end because of my exploration.

Just completed the main storyline about an hour ago, and I stupidly forgot to make a save before the final quest, so I can't use the character anymore >.<. So planning on make a gun slinger based character next and will most likely side with either Mr House or out for myself.

Loving it so far, though it took me a while to really get into it. Again it took me 9 hours ish to get to the strip were before that I was dirt poor but once I got there I used all my NCR money and my legionaries money at the casinos. Got my self banned from all of them (10,000 winnings for The Tops and Gommorah, 15,000 for the Ultra Luxe) so now I have 35,000 caps.

Might go hunting for the unique weapons soon, found the unique cleaver by accident.

Really enjoying this game... there seem to be loads of branches in the game via the choices you made...

1. I haven't done ANY gambling yet (low luck... doh!)
2. I haven't done any campfire manufacturing (other than the first healing powder)
3. I am having problems finding out how to repair some of the weapons (unique maybe)

Can anyone suggest where to find energy weapon ammo and how do you change the empty charges into reloads?

Oh and I have been doing a Dirty Harry with the .44. That gun sure has authoriteeeeeh < said in Cartman's voice.

The thing about this game that will make it fun to replay is that there are so many different things you can choose to do. I just wish the random chat was really random chat. The next Omerta that says he got kicked out of the Ultra Luxe and that the white gloves are creepy will get a .44 enema.  Roll Eyes

Oh and my biggest hate award of this game goes to...

THOSE FREAKIN CAZADORS

If you go to reload benches, highlight what you want to create and it will tell you all the components needed. ANd cazadors are hard. I remember my first encounter, it was one or two, it was a bloody swarm, needless to say I died.

And neo play some blackjack or caravan, luck isn't as important as for the other things. I've won a couple game of blackjack with a luck of 5, still trying to get the hand of caravan.

Oh god... Vault 34 is kicking my ass... HARD... Think I need to rethink this approach...

Reason is, the whole vault is radioactive so you have only so much time before you turn glow in the dark. Oh and the Glowing Ones in there are WAY tougher than FO3.

I think I'm going to go do some other stuff and then get the recipe perk so I can make my own Hollow point rounds.

I hazard suit might help, or power armour for the rad resistance.

Power armour is actually worth it now due to damage threshold. I could survive in FO3 quite easily just wearing a duster. Now it is more difficult to survive.

And Hardcore does make the game feel more believeable, and the vault 13 canteen is really useful.

How do you learn the Power Armour ability in NV? I'm at a bit of a loss atm... I've GOT some T-51B but I can't use it because I don't have the skill.

I just checked and I'm only 31 hours into the game (mainly due to having forced breaks because I seize up otherwise lol). I've put off going to V34 until I'm better off. Say, I only just found out you can have 2 companions... 1 robot and one human. Got ED-E and Veronica up to now... had to dismiss ED though as I needed to take Rex to the vets heh. I SOOOO love this game... I thought for a while that FO3 was better but now I think NV by a MILE!

I just LOVE how ED goes into battle, music blaring... totally awesome.
