I'm really not digging the 60's test chambers. The story seems to have just gone byebye...
I'm now stuck after doing the blue gel and turned on the red gel and am outside some offices and a big lift which doesn't have any switches.
One thing that really pisses me about level designers... most of them do shit to make it look spectacular but would probably never be done in real life. Also a short jump is an impossible obstacle yet a 50ft jump is. Totally pisses me off.
We should have game engines that let you choose how to do a task rather than force you to do A.B.C. to complete it. I want to choose to do X.Y.L. or C.E.F. Give various tools and choose how you would complete it.
Portal 2 is a mix of awesome and VERY FRICKIN ANNOYING. Portal 1 was a great story. Portal 2 story seems to be flailing around like they made it up at the pub on a Friday night while pissed out of their skulls. What the hell happened to the ship? If it is a ship it must be a REALLY frickin big ship... with caves in it heh.
Maybe I'm just getting tired... I either want to get story stuff or do the puzzle rules. The wandering around with VERY limited options is pissing me off. If they had given the user about 4 different ways to complete a section then it would have been a lot better. As it is I've jumped this one section half a dozen times and I've got past it and then the game decides I'm dead, even though I'm on a catwalk. Must have gone where it didn't want me.
Oh yeah... and I want to meed Cave Johnson...
Edit: OH GOD... No wonder I was having problems... I was going the wrong way according to the walkthrough hehe. Thank god for YouTube.
