like any racing game, whats your favorites?

mines got to be between-

mario cart 64<--one of the greatest games ever made.
forza 2
gran turismo 4

GT4 all the way. I have a Logitech G25 racing wheel that only works well with GT. All the other games don't use the 900 degree rotation.

Loved need for speed most wanted and hot pursuit.

NFS Most Wanted (Carbon was crap after MW) yet I find that the downside was the drag racing. In the end I had to use a hack to make the drag racing steerable lol.

Then came NFS Prostreet. WHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.... I love drag racing in that.

I keep saying that I'll get Forza 2 (loved Forza 1 on the original Xbox) but never seem to get around to it.

I played pro street for what, 45 minutes? I had more enjoyment driving my car back to E B Games than i did playing Pro Street.

that was like my whole seventh grade year.

I liked the Acura in Underground 1. I liked the Free Roam in underground 2 and then Most Wanted kicked all their asses by putting in coppers to annoy  Dodge Viper power slides around police for the win!!

So am I the only one who likes the Project Gotham Racing series? I suppose it's not that popular as most other raceing games you can tune the car to your likeing, where as PGR you're given what you are given, but I still enjoy it.

I didnt like the driving style as much.

prefer forza over that one.

yeah i never found much depth in project gotham.

but the racing aspect was really good.

and then in car camera.
was beast.

Well I prefer a simple racing game with out all indepth, though I did really like NFSU2. And the cockpit view si great, I always drive behind the wheel, but I get quite alot of stick because I may accidently hit people going round corners cause my field of view is limited, and no one believes me when I do.

Also my Dad, who can be quite a critic on racing games, says the inside of the cars looks really good, he really liked the look of the lotus cortian inside,

yeah it does have a sweet interior.

i'm a mclaren fan on project gotham though.

that thing is so crazy.

and the driver's seat is in the middle

I always use the maclaren when using A class cars, it's got nice speed, grip and accerlation.

B it's the maserati, thats a nice car as well, and I always do well with it.

Dimmu I hated it at first and then I really got into it... Once you get a car setup that works it becomes more enjoyable... until then though it's really hard to keep the car on the road... The speed races I always ended up with what I call "Bum Bounce" where the back end of the car start doing bunny hops heh. Once that starts you gotta slow down or it ends up with the car flipping... Boing... Boing... CRASH!

Need for Speed Pro Street is probally one of my favs. I love Gran Turismo but I do not care for PS3. I am still waiting for a "Gran Turismo" for 360.......havent seen that yet

forza 2 is pretty much the xbox equivalent to gt.

Gran Turismo 3 was imo the best racing game i've played, man i loved the indy cars in that game.

I like the entire Mario Kart series (Mario Kart Wii jsut came out and it's a blast). I also like the Need For Speed series. Also, Burnout Paradise was pretty good.

I've got say my new fav is Race Driver: Grid, though I think all the players from burnout seem to like it because the amount of people who just try and wreck you is a real problem, hopefully when the actual game is released this should drop down as I think the people who actually race will buy it.

I think my favorite old school racing game was mario cart.

but my new favorite was GRID, that game is sooooo fun to play. They just did everything correct, gotta love Codemasters
